Who would have thought of having a café, a fashion boutique, and a children’s play area under one roof?
At South Pacific Café & Boutique, they do just that. It especially helps to ease the minds of parents with young kids. At the café, wholesomeness and deliciousness are non-negotiable. Food is made from scratch, with quality ingredients, whenever possible. No MSG and other additives; instead, an emphasis on herbs and spices for flavor.
Plus, there’s something for everyone. Grown-ups get their own menu. So do kids! And there are starters, mains, and desserts, created with inspirations from the East and the West. Some of the popular ones are:
CHICKEN SALAD: Creamy mayo-dressed smoky paprika chicken are spooned on top a bed of garden-fresh veggies, dotted with sunshiny and juicy cherry tomatoes, to serve. Perfect as a starter to a heartier meal. Or even on its own!
CHICKEN AND MUSHROOM SPAGHETTI: One of their bestsellers. Pasta is cooked al dente and tossed with tender pieces of chicken and mushrooms in a beautiful orangish, velvety paprika sauce. Satisfying, indeed.
THAI GREEN CURRY WITH TURMERIC RICE AND VEGGIE STIR-FRY: Spicy, aromatic, mellow curry goes down well with the earthy, delicately citrusy golden turmeric rice. A light veggie stir-fry is served on the side.
COCK-A-DOODLE WITH ORANGE RICE: Turmeric-scented chicken is baked and then fried briefly to give it that gorgeous tan. It’s served alongside a golden orange-perfumed rice as well as some fruit and dessert. This bento-style meal will sure appeal to any young eaters.
CRISPY MINI WAFFLES: These contain bursts of surprises throughout: juicy berries or gooey molten chocolate chips! And they are served with real maple syrup or peanut butter and a blob of whipped cream. What a treat.
TONG YUEN IN GINGERY SYRUP: Nothing feels as comforting as eating these chewy glutinous-rice balls served in a bowl of warming gingery syrup. And there’s a surprise to every bite — each morsel has a molten center of brown sugar, gula Melaka, and diced candied winter melon!
FIZZY LEMONADE: Don’t be surprised that this is also house-made. Sparkling water with a refreshing lemony touch. Ideal thirst-quencher to stave off the heat.
SHAKES: Available in vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry flavor. These are specially blended for kids. Luscious, thick, and creamy, even adults might find them irresistible.
As for parents who want to catch a breather while enjoying a meal, why not let children mingle and play in the KidZone play area, where they get to explore their creativity freely! Or, while they are at play, parents can perhaps indulge in a little shopping therapy at the in-store fashion boutique. It’s a walk-in wardrobe of chic collections from Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Thailand, and as far as South Korea.
