Established since 2007, Plus One Shabu Shabu is the pioneer of Hong Kong style shabu shabu in Malaysia. Unlike traditional Chinese steamboat, shabu shabu allows every diner to enjoy steamboat with an individual hot pot. The meat is thinly sliced, so that you can swish the meat in hot boiling soup to enjoy its natural flavours.
The restaurant boasts an extensive menu of sets and a la carte items, including snacks, meats, seafood, meat balls and vegetables. You will be spoiled for choice with more than 19 different nourishing broths. The broths are prepared using quality ingredients without adding any MSG. Try the new Signature Mutton Broth, which is clear yet rich in taste!
The interior is cozy and spacious with a seating capacity of up to 180 people. Three VIP rooms are available for private gatherings. To cater to more customers, the restaurant offers delivery service to bring shabu shabu to your doorstep.
In this food tasting session, every participant will be served with a Mixed Steamboat Set accompanied with 10 delicious a la carte dishes:
1. Black Pearl (HK Century Egg) 黑珍珠(香港溏心皮蛋)
Crystal black century egg imported from Hong Kong. The Black Pearl distinguishes itself from ordinary century egg with a richer taste and a moist egg yolk. Take a bite and your whole mouth will be filled with the rich aroma of century egg. The egg is best eaten with marinated sliced gingers (also imported from HK) to add an extra fragrance.
2. Deep Fried HK Fish Skin 香港炸鱼皮
A famous snack in Hong Kong. The fish skins are dried, deep-fried, and seasoned to make the skins crispy and rich in taste. The skins are so crispy that it is like eating prawn crackers!
3. Sliced Grouper 石斑鱼片
Plus One’s popular sliced grouper uses the meat of grouper that is larger than 5kg, because only the flesh is more solid and springy. Swish the fish slices with boiling soup to enjoy the tender and bouncy texture of the meat.
4. HK Dumpling 港式水饺
Stuffed with mushroom and pork meat, the dumplings are chewy and delicious. The dumplings are made of quality dumpling skin that retains the smoothness and firmness of the dumpling after it is cooked. Bite into the dumplings and enjoy the bursting flavours in your mouth!
5. Golden Sand Sotong 金沙苏东
A new a la carte dish. Coated with a mixture of bread crumbs, egg, and butter, the sotong is deep-fried until golden and crisp. Tantalize your taste-buds with fried sotong that is crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside.

Plus One’s signature dish. The meat balls, consisting of a prawn ball, a fish ball, and a pork ball, are freshly handmade when an order is placed. The meat balls can only last for a few hours, because no artificial preservatives or seasonings are added to the meat balls.
