If there’s one thing to thank Italy for, it’s for the fact that they blessed the world with the masterpiece that is pizza. We love how flatbreads can go so well with just about anything; from beef pepperoni slices to sweet potatoes, mozzarella cheese to mayonnaise. If you're looking for that dash of pizza-liciousness like us, make sure to visit these 7 restaurants that serve palatable pizzas!

Swedish and pizza in the same sentence? Uh oh, we’re hearing a stampede (of hungry humans). Puzzini takes it up a notch by promising something that has most of us signing up for a lifetime membership — less bread, more cheese. Pizza Karl Gustav Beef is Sweden’s top-selling pizza, swore by many for its topping of beef kebab, tomatoes, onions and black olives, and it’s also a favourite of many patrons here.

Carpe Diem introduces Korean-Italian fusion pizzas, with creative usage of ingredients you don’t usually see on pizzas. One such example is the Sweet Potato Pizza, which takes traditional Italian pizza and tops it off with small chunks of sweet potatoes and corns. There’s also the Claypot Chicken Pizza, the result of fusing dak galbi and pizza; filled to the brim with cheese and served heartily in a claypot. It’s the physical representation of the concept of true love.

Spinach pizza? It exists! Popeye The Sailor would like to bid you an aye in the form of a golden-crusted pizza topped exquisitely with flavoured spinaches and two hard-boiled eggs along with onions and garlic. Their signature and real spotlight is actually the Fahrenheit 600, topped with eggplants, tomatoes and feta cheese. Now that’s what we call a hefty combo!

Ordering the signature Mr. Tino is a must. How do you even resist a pizza topped graciously with beef bacon, pepperoni, mushrooms, black olives and capsicums? Not to mention, it’s cheesy the way you’ll love it! Ever tried broccolis on pizzas before? Well, Tino’s introduces to you the Duck Caponata, topped with not only broccolis but also roasted ducks and capsicums, making for a uniquely delicious end product.

This Italian café makes it their goal to show Malaysians what authentic Italian food is like — and that includes pizzas. 15 types of pizzas are available, but customization is also an option for patrons. The signature Roma Pizza boasts toothsome toppings such as beef, mushrooms, onions and capsicums. Vegetarians will fall in love with the lip-smacking Verdurina Pizza, topped with broccolis, spinaches, black olives, onions, garlics, tomatoes and arugulas.

Are you game for New York pizzas? If you’re looking for the cheesiest combination, the Pizza Bianca, which also happens to be the head chef’s personal favourite, combines four types of cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, goat’s cheese and ricotta) into one. Take a first bite and get a cheesy glimpse of what heaven is like! The Classic New York Pizza elegantly and generously fuses mozzarella cheese with Grana Padano cheese, drizzled in olive oil with a base of tomato sauce, oozing with nothing but deliciousness.

Come over to La Risata and give their Risata pizza a taste! The Risata pizza is lusciously topped with tomato sauce, rapini, pancetta and smoked mozzarella. The smoked mozzarella lends the pizza the smokiness it needs to complete the flavour. Another one we recommend is the White Pizza, topped with potatoes, homemade spicy sausages and gorgonzola. They have such a way of creating flavours that will hook our taste buds from the first bite. Utterly delectable!
