Auntie Lora’s Prawn Noodle is authentic and delicious in all aspects – the prawn soup base is really flavourful, tastes best with their homemade chili which used up 6 hours to stir-cook till perfection. Of course you can find other Penang delights here, like the Loh Noodle is another must-try, for its tasty thick broth that added perfect flavour to every mouthful of noodle! To answer the demands of patrons, Auntie Lora has recently introduced a new rice dish to the menu – Sweetened Vinegar Pork Knuckles that’s irresistably good, with gingery sweet vinegar gravy and melt-in-your-mouth pork knuckles, you will surely need another bowl of rice! Pin Pin Viet Café

Running by a local Chinese with his Vietnamese wife, Pin Pin Viet Café is the best place for you to enjoy Vietnamese local delights – not only they serve tasty and authentic Vietnamese food, the pricing is super affordable too (as low as RM7.90)! Savour a bowl of hearty Beef Noodle (Pho) – the tender beef slices were served medium well so it will not get overly cooked in the piping hot soup. Banh Mi Three Numbness Egg, the Vietnamese sandwich is equally delicious. The buns are freshly made daily with limited quantity so make sure to be early if you don’t want to miss it! Don’t forget to try the Vietnamese Iced Coffee – add the condensed milk into the hot coffee according to your sweetness preference and stir well before pouring it to the glass of ice for the best enjoyment. The Flush Fat Chicken Rice isn’t the usual chicken rice you get from the hawker center – the yellow rice is boiled with a kind of Vietnamese herb that gives it the special aroma and delightful colour! The fried chicken is well marinated and remained juicy, matches perfectly with the fragrant yellow rice. Crispy Vietnamese Pancakes (Banh Xeo) is the new dish that soon to be added into their menu – rice and egg batter slowly pan-fried till crispy with minced pork wrapping inside, served with veggies and fish sauce – it is so delicious you will definitely love it!

Crispy Crust

Crispy Crust is a restaurant that specialising in fried chicken. Original recipes created by a chef who worked in a buffet restaurant in Sweden for 3 years, and before that he was a chef in Lafite, Shangri-La Hotel – if this isn’t enough to be the reason for you to visit Crispy Crust – super tender and juicy chicken fillet wrapped inside golden crispy fried batter that comes with rice or fried spaghetti, you get to choose either black pepper or mushroom dressing to your liking as well! Other than fried chicken, Crispy Crust does serve really good grilled chicken too – perfectly grilled with grill sauce, the chicken remained juicy with a kick of delightful smoky flavour, so yummy! If you are craving for something spicy, you may try out their Sambal Chicken. The sambal tastes completely different from the Malay sambal as it is a recipe from Sabah, so be sure to check it out!

Kemaman Classic Kopitiam

The menu of Kemaman Classic Kopitiam portrays the taste preferences of Chinese society from East Coast – Malay delights accompanied with Hainan coffees or teas, this is what makes Kemaman Classic Kopitiam stands out. Try out the Nasi Dagang here – mixture of glutinous rice and fragrant rice cooked with coconut milk and variety of herbs and spices, it tastes so good and of course, much better with the Tuna Fish Curry (Kari Ikan Tongkol)! Complete your meal with your favourite cuppa – we would recommend the Teh Tarik because it tastes so nice and smooth, with strong aroma of tea and most importantly, not too sweet! Nasi Ayam Penyet is the bestselling dish here and we can see why! Crispy, juicy and flavourful fried chicken served with fiery spicy sambal and rice – the sambal is really tasty on its own because they brilliantly added tomato in it! Nasi Kerabu will be another option of yours if you would love to experience the local taste of Terengganu. Don’t forget about the Paong too, fluffy Terengganu sweet bread rolls that typically served with kaya butter, it’s equally delicious to savour it with ice cream too!
