That is why our foodie enthusiast, James Wan are back in action to introduce to you these fantastic food! A 60-year old Chicken Rice or Nong & Jimmy crabs? Are you ready for the adventure? (The restaurants are listed in no particular order. Some of the establishments below are not halal)

1. Cham Kee Restaurant

Can you imagine how awesome it is to have the chance to try chicken rice that had been selling for over 60 years in a Kajang? For this Chinese restaurant in KL, they are now run by their third generation that has taken over their grandparent’s business. This dish brings out a taste of happiness from a memory of old times. Not just the food are superb, their take-aways packaging and skills are totally one of a kind!

2. Hokkien Mee Kajang

Hokkien Mee Restaurant started their business since 1967, this Chinese restaurant is differ from the other restaurant because it is located in a Chinese temple at Kajang. Throughout the years, they are now run by their second generation! The taste of the noodles are different to the other Hokkien Mee stalls because the boss uses the traditional way to handmade their noodles that you can taste now which is - Hokkien Mee and Loh Mee to cook the noodles. This is what the patrons love about their noodles because they remain their original method to cook the noodles! (Located at Kajang Shen Sze She Yak Temple, operates from 4.00pm until 9.00pm)

3. Jeff Lee Kitchen

If you pass by Kampung Baru Sungai Buloh, opposite the market, a visit to Jeff Lee Kitchen Restaurant is a MUST because delicious Chinese food awaits you there! Recommended dishes of Pi Pa Duck, crispy yet succulent. It is just too good that the memories will begin flashing by too! Have you tried before Sweet and Sour Paku veges? Well, this is quite known at Thailand that the dish is eaten as side dishes. If you haven’t tried before, try it here! The following dish recommended by chef is the Minced Pork noodles. Looks ordinary but when you get a taste of it, the pork lard and the meat is superbly flavorful! Other than that, the boss do recommend to try Sang Har noodles or bittergourd mee hoon and more!

4. Charcoal Fried Hokkien Mee

A plate of beautiful looking Hokkien mee fried with pork lard is the best Chinese food to eat! Shiny layer of pork lard, the fragrant from that plate of noodles is just too good to describe! If you can't get enough of it, do order the Braised pork fried mee hoon that will sure to give you the highest satisfaction!

5. Warisan Sambal Opah

What you can find out in this restaurant is Malaysian’s all times favorite - Nasi Lemak. Tastes of spicy, sweet and sour from their dishes, all these tastes can brings out different kinds of excitement no matter is packed in a small pandan leaves packet or dining in the restaurant. Fried chicken that is juicy yet crispy skin is just incredible!

6. Nong & Jimmy

If you are the one that likes spicy foods, drop by at Nong and Jimmy restaurant that located at Ampang! The chef of the restaurant has recommended a few dishes that will sure to satisfy you such as BBQ Crab, Thai Fried Fish, Seafood Tom Yam and Thai style Fried Fritters. It is more delicious if you add up with special Thai sauce on the top of the BBQ Crab too! Other than BBQ crab, the restaurant is also famous in grilled fresh clams.
