There are many Bak Kut Teh shops in Johor and some even have similar names that can overwhelm a new foodie in town. While I have not completely tasted all available shops here, most of the well known ones I have tried. Shoon Huat is the one with a chain of shops in many locations in Johor. I am surprised that it can maintain a rather consistent quality across them, a thing that even big brands sometimes cannot accomplish.I like its soup, not overwhelmed with herbal aroma, and yet not diluted. I like its soup, not overwhelmed with herbal aroma, and yet not diluted. The ribs are cooked just right and soup can be topped up. Prices are displayed clearly on the wall.
It just makes me very comfortable to dine here.
