Located pretty close to the high way exit is this infamous beef noodles, that I travelled all the way from Singapore to try! It was a saturday morning around 930am and it seemed pretty quiet, not many customers, and though there are quite a number of newspaper clippings, this coffee shop seemed like a normal looking coffee shop. Nothing too fanciful that made it stand out from the neighbouring shops. It has a very old school feel to it, probably because this shop has been here for decades!Straig

Straight away, when you walk into the coffee shop, you can smell the sweet scent of beef and the broth. That's because there is a giant pot boiling right at the entrance. You can see the chunks of meat, herbs and even bones. A very welcoming sight indeed!

I love kway teow so I ordered my bowl with kway teow, you can choose between bee hoon, yellow mee, mee pok, and kway teow. The first thing you will notice is that they are fried onions on the bowl, which were very crispy. The second thing you will notice are the numerous chunks of beef and innards. I was quite surprised that there was so much "liao" aka ingredients. We definitely don't get so much "liao" in a bowl of beef noodles in Singapore. The shop here is very generous!

The soup was so tasty! And yet I didn't feel thirsty after the meal, the soup is refillable, and I couldn't resist ordering a second bowl. I'm so greedy, but it was definitely the best bowl of beef noodles I have ever eaten!!

After the meal, I walked to the back of the shop to use the wash basin and noticed the staff fishing out huge bones from the boiling broth. Wow! Now I know why the soup is so tasty! It's legit bones, herbs and meat that spends hours broiling to give you that unforgettable beef noodle soup!
Other Info. : If you cannot eat beef for religious reasons, you can still ask for a small bowl of noodles and soup without any meat.
