On 28th July, I went to Arashi Japanese Shabu-Shabu located at KSL for celebrating my friend's birthday. The environment of the restaurant is quite nice. There is not a lot of people and the interior design is pretty, the light is not too bright. Most of us ordered hotpot, and I ordered one chicken hotpot and one Salmon and Pork hotpot. The food was so memorable that I had to bring my entire family to try it!! They were impressed by the decoration & setting of the restaurant. They were surprised that the price is quite reasonable given the posh-ness of the interior. As mentioned, don't judge the book by its cover.Moreover, we saw Chew Chor Meng with his family dining there too.. The restaurant is very well decorated and furnished, with a nice ambience. Seating is well spaced too. We tried the mini pot steamboat and they have a good selection of soup base. The mala spicy soup and milk based soup were both flavorful. I like to eat stamboat.Arashi Shabu shabu has many kind of soup base.Last time i went there i tried the kimchi soup,so now i decided to try the herbal soup with beef.The soup was delicious and best of all is that you can ask them to refill for you.When you put the beef into your mouth,the beef taste immediately flow surround your mouth.Besides that,they also have variety choices of sauce for you to choose.It gives you more selection.

I went to try out this shabu-shabu restaurant with my daughter, she is an avid fan of steamboat. we both ordered the beef shabu-shabu. we normally grade the standard of the steamboat with the ingredients they served and the highlight was the beef. the beef was sliced extremely thinly, which was a good thing cos it cooked pretty fast. we barely dipped it into the hot sop for a minute and it was cooked. the soup was really tasty. it was such an enjoyment to eat it.

Went for dinner with my boyfriend and friend. The store front & decorations looks very grand.
