I have not been to Genting Highland for some period of time, and when i visited this place recently, i spotted one of my favorite food outlet, the Nyonya Colors. I ordered the cendol with red bean. This is the first time i am ordering cendol with red beans, you can also opt for normal cendol without red beans. I love the added red bean in the cendol, reminds me the Penang cendol. The gula melaka was not sweet enough.

Sempat singgah di kopitiam yang sangat popular di Kemaman ni ketika pulang ke kampung di Kuala Terengganu pada musim raya tahun lepas. Memang dah lama dengar cerita tentang kopitiam ini terutamanya keenakkan kopi aisnya. Dengarnya kopitiam ini dah lama beroperasi, dari tahun 1970 an lagi dan masih kekal sehingga kini. Rasa kopi aismya memang terbaik, kalah kopi Starbuck. Kopitiam ini sentiasa penuh deengan pelanggan tak kira usia, dari tua sehinggalah kanak-kanak. Selain kopi ais, pelanggan juga gemarkkan roti klasik kaya dan butter yang dihidangkan panas-panas. Memang terbaik!

Granted it being located at Genting Hotel; not surprisingly the price's like 30% more expensive ..similar to all other eateries located at Genting. So I can't really complaint on the pricing. Most importantly is for some reason because of the cold weather, digging into hot, piping Fried Chicken seriously makes the KFC here tastes much better than anything I had back in KL haa, haa.. Best of all are the Original, Chicken Nuggets, Fries and Mashed Potatoes. yums

除了巴生有好吃的肉骨茶之外，来到这里也有不错的肉骨茶品尝。这里的肉骨茶味道很香。肉质口感不错，也许经过长久时间的关系，汤汁已经渗入在那肉质上所以吃起来就比较有味。

genting is a very nice place to hang out during wekeend and during public holidays to spend time with family or large group of friends.

i usually come here during weekends to walk around and also visiting the restaurant for good food and also not to mention of course visit a little while to the casino place.

genting really offering many good restaurant and price is of course high due to this famous place. genting palace restaurant is a very nice comfortable environment dining experience and good service here.

try this kai lan fried style and the taste is really good and nice. the tea served here also very good and good quality of food here. worth the value and money we are paying and the environment of dining inside here

Has anyone tried the chestnuts which is sold in abundance at Gohtong Jaya? Super delicious! You can go to their stalls/shop or sometimes there will be sellers walking around with packets selling them. About RM10 a packet. Super, super delicious! The chesnuts are charcoal-ed to perfection and is so naturally sweet and crunchy! The best I've ever tasted, definitely!

What indulgence to be able to tuck into warm, hot fragrant chocolate cookies in the cold of Genting Highlands! Yums The prices are as usual slightly higher than other Famous Amos outlets (coz it's at Genting, mah)..but the taste's just as good. No,it's way better.. coz to have warm cookies with tea in cool weather's just heavenly! Do try out their butterscotch with pecan, and choco chip with macademia.. my personal favorites I heard their choco decadent (dark rich choco chips cookies) are to die for as well. Yums

By now, we were all pretty stuffed. However, mum being the vegetable-lover, requested for a serving of fresh green vegetables. We did, and the vegetables came fried with some garlic. Full of wok hei but not overcooked, the vegetable was still crunchy and fresh. The entire meal was great and the service was pretty quick. By the time we are done, the restaurant was quite full, so it is a good idea to come early in order to get seats.

We ordered the ginger steamed tilapia as the waiter mentioned that their tilapia is very fresh. The tilapia was fairly huge and it was covered with a generous amount of minced ginger. The flesh was very sweet, enhanced by the ginger paste. There was no muddy taste associated with tilapia at all. The only thing was that it was slightly overcooked, hence the meat was a bit hard. Overall, not too bad.

Mum wanted to have a dish with mushrooms in it, and the waiter suggested us the fried mushrooms with fish paste. It sounded interesting hence we agreed to order. The dish was filled to the brim with young shiitake mushrooms, slippery and juicy. The fish paste was also top-notch with lots of mouth-bounce. Some snow peas and sliced carrots gave the dish colour and appeal. Recommended if you are a mushroom-lover.

The steamed chicken was one of the main attractions of Kedai Makanan Loong Kee. We ordered a portion for six people, and it seems that half a chicken was being served. The chicken meat was smooth and delectable. Served on a bed of sliced cucumber, the soya sauce was also very brackish and complemented the chicken very well. Pity we didn’t order more, as the chicken was polished off in no time.

The waiter suggested us to try the fried pork strip. The pork strips were thinly sliced and then fried to golden perfection. It was very crispy, but still extremely juicy. The lean meat and the fat meat was just right, and it didn’t overwhelm. It was served with a few slices of cucumbers, which provided a good palate cleansing before the next dish came along. Definitely the highlight of the meal.

Out of the blue, hubby decided that we should take a family trip to Goh Tong Jaya to have a big feast in Kedai Makanan Loong Kee. All six of us piled up in the family MPV and took the hour-long journey. We reached just in time for the restaurant to open, hence we were the first customers. Due to that, service was pretty quick. First up was the stir fried brinjal. The brinjal skin was removed before being stir-fried with garlic and birds eye chilli. The combination was explosive, especially if you accidently bite into the chilli. A good starter, nonetheless.

Lobby Cafe is situated right at the lobby of Fist World Hotel, anyone would hardly miss this place as the place is brightly lit and well presented. I ordered the breakfast combo that consist of roti telur with tea. The breakfast is served till 10:45am only. The roti telur was freshly made and the aroma of the egg was very comforting in the morning. The tea was a normal english tea. The roti telur was served with dhal and spicy curry.

Fortune Corner also sells some light refreshment such as puff pastry, fruits, dim sum, etc. We ordered the sesame seed balls to try. The sesame seed balls were priced at M3.80++ for two pieces. The sesame seed balls were quite big, and the filling inside was the red bean paste. Although the sesame seed ball was big, the red bean paste inside was very little. The sesame seed ball was a bit oily too.
