Signature Dishes
The first time I tasted this was in Nelson's in Atria Shopping Complex. Sadly, Atria is no longer standing, but the good news is that there is a Nelson's just nearby my house in Paradigm Mall. I was feeling peckish while waiting for hubby to buy his stuff in Tesco, so decided to get a corn in cup to make my wait easier. The corn kernels were steamed quite nicely, with some butter and it was also lightly salted. After finishing the entire cup, only was hubby done with his shopping.

Waffle with butter kaya. While waiting for my mother to do the groceries shopping in Tesco, I bought a waffle from Nelson's. I ordered the most basic combination - butter and kaya. The waffle was nicely done, crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. I didn't taste much flour because it was being toast well. The butter melted together with the kaya to give a sweet flavour.

One of the few bad habits that I have is to always have a snack in hand while shopping, especially when I'm not the one shopping, just carrying the bags.Passing by this stall at Nelson's tempted me to get their corn in cup. I loved corn in cup by Nelson's since they were among the pioneers when they started selling it in the early 90s at Atria shopping complex.Their corn in cup costs much more now, for RM2.50 I get a only small cup.Anyhow, it is still the same old delicious corn in cup. It was made pretty fast. The corn is easy to eat, as the the corn cobs are small. The corn is flavoured with a generous amount of butter and salted lightly to ensure the taste of the corn is there.The butter aroma mixes well with the corn and makes a nice taste. A nostalgic snack for me, which never gets old.
