Most of the younger generation now have no clue why this is called ice cream potong. Technically, ice cream potong is just ice cream that is cut from a block and served between wafers. It was purely a matter of logistics and had nothing to do with the flavours or quality of the ice cream. The texture of this one is nothing like the olden days. It's frozen solid and icy, but flavours are better. They are thicker and with more real ingredients than just flavourings.
