Whenever we talk about Taman Connaught, we would think about the night market that happens every Wednesday night which draws huge crowd to pay a visit. Of course besides the night market, there are still a lot of hidden places in Taman Connaught that serve good food.

Today, I would like to recommend a place that me and my bf visit frequently, both of us get hooked by their noodles and we would drop by the shop to have our lunch almost every week.

One Meter Sunshine restaurant, located nearby UCSI university at Taman Connaught(same row as Starbucks), serve you authentic Chinese style noodles. It’s more like a stall instead of a restaurant as the space is quite limited, most of the customers have to sit outdoor. The stall does not have any fancy decorations either. However, you should not overlook their noodles.

Scallion oil noodles, handmade noodles tossed together with scallion oil topped off with scallions and minced pork. The origin of this noodle is actually from Jiang Nan, China. It might look simple but the taste totally blew us away. The texture of the handmade noodles is super springy and chewy, the scallion oil makes the noodles silkier, and it enhances the taste of the noodles even more.

I would recommend you to add their home-recipe chili pastes and a small spoonful of vinegar to your noodles, it gives you a hint of spiciness and sourness while eating, provides you multi-level taste to satisfy your taste bud.

On a side note, to some the noodles might be a bit oily, but for me, once in awhile should be okay, because it tastes real good! One Meter Sunshine serves you different kind of noodles as well as Chinese style snacks such as fried dumpling (gyoza), do try out yourself!
