Great news for “foodies” in Malaysia, now you can vote for your favourite restaurants or foods using a mobile app! As more and more Malaysian people like to share their dining experiences via smartphones, SAYS.com has partnered with OpenRice Malaysia to launch the SAYS Food Awards, which empower individuals to vote for their favourite restaurants and foods using a mobile app. To participate, all you need to do is download the OpenSnap mobile app for iOS or Android to vote for your favourite dishes and restaurants by uploading a food photo and hashtag #saysfoodawards. To cast your vote, just give your favourite food a “like”. The accumulated likes will be calculated at the end of the campaign. “With the help of OpenSnap’s comprehensive database of more than 71,000 restaurants in Malaysia, it would be extremely convenient for participants to vote for their favourite restaurants by using the app,” says Judith Yeoh, Head Of Content and Editorial at SAYS.com. The food and outlets are divided into three categories, including “Malaysian”, “Western”, and “Desserts”. A participant will be rewarded with a cash prize of RM500 if his or her food photo is among the top 40 most-liked photos. For voters, 50 lucky voters will stand a chance to win RM100 as reward. The SAYS Food Awards is scheduled to run for one month from 5th May until 5th June 2014.
