1. Peel the pumpkin and cut it into cubes, then steam for 20 mins. Mashed it when pumpkin is still hot. 南瓜去皮,切小块蒸熟,趁热用叉子压成泥状;
2. Mix the yeast with the water, then add in mashed pumpkin, flour, sugar and oil. Mix well until a dough is formed. 先将水、酵母混合,然后分别加入南瓜泥、面粉、幼糖和油,搓揉成光滑面团;
3. Let the dough rest for around 5 mins in room temperature. 将面团放在室温下松弛5分钟;
4. Roll out the dough into rectangular size, brush off the extra flour and brush some water on surface of dough. 将面团擀成长方型,将表面多余的粉刷掉,再均匀的刷上水;
5. Roll the dough into cylinder and cut it into two. 将面团卷成圆柱体后,将面团分割;
6. Place the dough on waxed paper and put into steamer, leave to prove for 15 mins. 面团放在蜡纸上,将面团放入蒸炉内,进行最后发酵约15分钟;
7. Steam the dough in medium-high heat for 15 mins. 以中大火蒸约15分钟。
Tips
For step 3, you can choose to let the dough rest until doubles in size then roll out it into rectangular size. I also used around half an hour on last prove of the dough instead of only 15 mins. I am used to using medium-low heat to steam bread.
