Do you like to eat claypot foods? Well, you are in the right track! By making Eggplant & Otak-otak, you just need egg plants, otak-otak, spring onion and red chili.
2 eggplants (cut wedges) / 茄子 2条(切滚刀状) 150g Otak-otak / 乌达乌达 150克 1 tbsp chopped spring onion / 葱花 1汤匙 1 red chili (chopped) / 红辣椒 1条(切碎)
Seasoning
Dash of salt / 盐少许 1⁄2 tsp MSG / 味精1⁄4茶匙 1 tsp fish sauce / 鱼露1茶匙
Method
1. Blanch eggplant in hot oil and drain.(pic 1-3) 将茄子切段,放入热油中过油,捞出滤干油分备用。(图1-3)
2. Sear otak with 2 tbsp oil in wok until cooked; toss in eggplant and seasoning; transfer to a clay pot and heat up with medium heat, ready to serve.(pic 4-6) 将乌达以2汤匙油炒香及熟,回锅茄子及调味料兜均匀,然后盛入瓦煲中开火加热,即可取出趁热享用。(图4-6)
