A colleague informed me of this burger restaurant which is he claims is cheaper and better than MyBurgerLab in PJ. I was surprised to hear that and so I invited a friend to try this place with me. From the outside, there was no billboard anywhere so we thought we got the wrong place. After looking in only we found that it was the right place. From the outside, there was no billboard anywhere so we thought we got the wrong place. After looking in only we found that it was the right place. There was no renovation at all in the restaurant, so it can easily be mistaken for a coffeeshop of some sort.
There was a menu stuck on the side wall, so we weighed our options and made the order.
I ordered the most expensive burger they have on the menu which is the King of Spades. It costs RM17.90 nett. They do not make any of their own drinks, so all their drinks are canned drinks which costs RM2 (A choice between 100 Plus, Pepsi & Ice Lemon Tea).
The burgers took quite some time to make, but I could clearly see the efforts used to make each and every burger. After around 15-20 minutes or so, my burger finally arrived.
I was very surprised the see the size of the burger which is very enormous. It has 2 patties, 3 layers of melted cheese and 2 bacon strips along with lots of caramelized onion and a piece of lettuce.
The patties were very well made as I could taste the strong beefy flavour and aroma, and coupled with their charcoal burger, caramelized onions and cheese it was very delicious. The burger was so thick, that it is impossible to eat it with just a bite, so I had to eat it with fork and knife.
For RM17.90, this is indeed a bargain. I hope the price stays that way, as I am very happy with this new burger establishment in Penang.
