It is difficult to find Mee Hoon Sotong in another state in Malaysia. There are two stalls of Mee Hoon Sotong at Pasar Besar Seremban. Both of the stall consider open for some time, for Hiong Kee Mee Hoon Sotong is open slightly late than another one but it is very famous and already have 20 years in history. The ingredient of Mee Hoon Sotong is very simple, including Mee Hoon, Pork, Sotong (Cuttlefish) and vegetables. A good plate of Mee Hoon Sotong (cuttlefish noodles) requires noodles that are fried just right, not too raw not too burnt, braised pork slices, fresh vegetables and flavorful gravy. Tow Kee Hakka Mee already have 80 years history at Pasar Besar Seremban! Their homemade noodles were really springy, topped with tasty minced meat, seasoned with some light sauce and sesame oil and finally garnished with some spring onions. Even though they might look unfriendly at some point, but many of their customers still return for more! They are now located opposite of the post office, near the market) The beef noodle here is the famous beef noodle at this Pasar Besar Seremban. There are a lot of customer during the holidays and sometimes they have to wait for 30 to 40 minutes for the beef noodles! The beef noodle here uses ‘Lai Fun’ instead of the normal Mee Hoon. The rice noodles (lai fun) are homemade with soup and dry noodles. The pearly white rice noodles (lai fun) slick and dyed brownish by the gooey beefy sauce. The starchy sauce, peanut and the sesame seeds are other toppings that make the flavor stand out from the rest. The sticky sauce was savory and just mildly beefy. One thing I have to mention is their beef ball was tender with a slight bounce.5. Ah Heng Wan Tan Mee @ Stall 802
Different from others Wan Tan Mee, ‘Ah Heng Wan Tan Mee’ only have char siu (bbq pork) , wantan and noodles. It does not have dumpling , curry chicken, siu yuk and braised chicken feet with mushroom.
