Calanthe Art Café is known for being the only café for serving coffees from all 13 states. It’s a café that speaks of the state’s tourism slogan — that is, visit Melaka is visit Malaysia. Its menu details the coffee bean types and roasting techniques employed to give the different coffees their distinctive tastes.
This coffee bar serves the best espresso in town. Though the premise is small and seats are limited, it still roasts and grinds its own beans. It’s said to be the only coffeehouse that lets the public in to see how their coffee beans are roasted.
True to its name, “musicafe” Eikyi showcases an interesting musical collection on its walls. The nice background music makes you want to linger and not leave. Must try its unique rose latte, a limited item on its menu, and affogato, the best in Melaka!
Its menu is said to be the largest in Melaka. Not only does it offer coffees brewed with house blends but also single-origin beans. Meanwhile, their coffees also include Mexican, Columbia Supremo, Honduras, Brazil Santos, Ethopia Djima, Sumatra, and Jamaica Blue Mountain. Don’t forget they have their own line of frappucino, too.
Further down Jonker Street, slightly off the bustling path, lies this small, quaint café. It’s a pioneer in serving gourmet coffees locally. Within it parked a 1978 Volkswagen Combi Campervan, which has been restored and converted into a “mobile coffeeshop.” Besides classics like espresso and cappuccino, try their more “exotic” offerings, such as lattes and Americano.

Opened just last year, and now operating out of a 100-year-old former warehouse that is under the UNESCO’s protection. That said, only a minimalist design is opted to keep the old building’s original façade and theme in tact.
