1. Bah Ku Teh Teo Chew 
Strong herbal flavor; as the soup has been simmered for hours using its special mixture of herbs and spices together with chunky pieces of pork ribs, pork balls, button mushrooms, enoki mushooms and Chinese mushrooms! The hearty broth is so addictive that it will never be enough just for you alone! While the tender pork ribs just falls right off the bone; don’t forget to try the Teo Chew’s signature pork meat balls and their famous Yam Rice!
2. Bukit Cina Char Kuey Teow @ Restoran Lee Ho
Bukit Cina’s famous Push-cart ‘Char Kuey Teow’ has been serving its brand of old school style of stir fried flat rice noodles to locals in Malacca for generations. Why is it so delicious? Fried over extremely high heat by sprinkling just another handful of cockles, plump bean sprouts, garlic and pork lard! And then a plate of Char Kuey Teow that is fragrant boasting plenty of ‘Wok hei’ is ready! To enhance your plate, eat it with some Malaccan style sweet sauce as the mix of savory and sweetness in the noodles will whet up your appetite for more!
3. Oh Chien @ Restoran Sin Yin Hoe
The most known oyster omelette or ‘Oh Chien’ at Restoran Sin Yin Hoe is operated only at night. The Oh chien here is superb that is crispy on the outside but soft and starchy on the inside! The dish is garnished with parsley and half a lime. Try squeezing the juice from the lime on top of the oyster omelette and eat it together with the crunchy, fragrant parsley! Thumbs up!
4. ‘Fatman’ Popiah (With Lard)
Lard Popiah?‘Fatman’s popiah are stuffed to the brim with tasty ingredients such as shredded turnips, strips of omelettes, beansprouts, bean curd cubes, lettuce, sweet sauce, chili, and pork lard of course! Upon the first bite, the mixture of all the ingredients makes the spring roll a killer combination while the crunchy pieces of pork lard adds an extra crunch. Fatman’s Popiah only operates in the evening starting 6.00pm to 9.00pm! Be there early or you will have to deal with the long queue!
5. Fish Ball Stall @ Kedai Kopi & Minuman Soon Yen
Look for this Fish Ball Stall as they serves great snacks here! Fish balls, fried prawn crackers, fish fritters and fried beancurd would be the best selling ones! Soon Yen’s fish ball uses nothing but quality local mackerel fish. Both of the fried fritters (prawns and fish skin) are the MUST TRY! For maximum satisfaction, eat them by dipping it into the owner’s homemade tamarind (Assam) based sweet sauce that is both tangy and appetizing.
6. Bunga Raya Porridge
The bestseller?Definitely their famous pork porridge with innards! The porridge is quite different as it is more towards the thicker version but yet delicious. Remember to try their minced meat balls as it is tasty as the meat is well marinated. As for the pork innards, it is an acquired taste. If you are not a fan of this, you can either opt it out by informing the waitress beforehand. Bunga Raya Pork porridge is opened not only lunch time, but dinner time too!
7. Klebang Original Coconut Shake
Forget about cendol this round, as you should be trying this instead! What is Coconut shake? Does this sound special enough for you now? A cup of goodness made from the coconut water, flesh and scoops of yummy vanilla ice creams! It is then blended together with ice cubes until smooth and perfectly thick yet slurpy! Not just drinks here, their packet Nasi Lemak, Mee Goreng and Mihun Goreng is a must try too! Besides, they do sell Kuih’s that is perfectly good as well ranging from ‘Popiah basah Pedas’, Curry puffs, Keropok Lekor, Onde-onde and many more! This stall here is forever packed with our local patrons and neighbouring country patrons too! Be sure to wait for a table to try it out.
