Winter Lover Bakery House is located at Jalan PJU 5/21, Kota Damansara. It took me quite awhile to search for it because I hardly go to that area as opposed to Sunway Giza and it is located at upstairs of double storey shop lots. Please note that no shoes are allowed inside the bakery house, hence you need to take off and leave your shoes at the shoes rack. The interior design of Winter Lover Bakery House is much similar to Full House or Garden Cafe but much simpler. It exhales tranquillity and relaxation, makes me feel so comfortable and blissful sitting in there. In addition, I like the wallpaper they used to decorate the plain wall. Here I included a few photos to share with you the interior design of this bakery, as below:According to their Facebook page, they are a featured bakery house serving their specialty of Mille Crepe and macaroons. In addition, they are also making their effort to cultivate the flower tea culture in Petaling Jaya. For flower tea lovers, maybe you can give a try. They are offering a variety of Mille Crepe (really a lots). For instance, oreo madness, French chestnut, banana & chocolate, original/vanilla, caramel macchiato, raspberry yogurt, hokkaido milk, citrus cheese, mango, 3 in 1 (vanilla, chocolate & strawberry), trio chocolate (white, milk, dark chocolate), tiramisu, strawberry, rum & raisins, baileys, matcha azuki, peanut blueberry, etc. We had a tough time to decide which two flavours to pick and then in the end.......... the gluttonousness chosen matcha azuki and musang durian king.Musang Durian King Mille Crepe. It contains musang durian blended in fresh whipped cream. This Mille Crepe is their weekend special Mille Crepe, so not sure if they are selling this during weekdays. So blissfully happy that I came on Saturday and I had the chance to try this. The taste of durian is so appetizing. Both of us love every bites of this and the delicate texture of crepe. I'm sure I will come back again for this.Matcha Azuki Mille Crepe (Matcha = green tea, Azuki = red bean). This Mille Crepe uses high quality of green tea powder imported from Japan and then blend together with red bean. I like green tea but not red bean (It was my friend who chosen this flavour). But surprisingly the combination of green tea and red bean in this way turns out to be so great. The taste is not so strong, not too sweet and very refreshing. You will definitely marvel at it in harmony of the combination. As for the drink, not too much options. But I think they are offering good coffee such as toasted hazelnut coffee, arabica gold coffee, white coffee, dark coffee, and last but not least, the DURIAN COFFEE! I never heard about durian coffee. It is interesting to try it out and it tastes excellent (at least to me) with durian taste. But my body feels like it's heating up after a cup of this durian coffee. So I grabbed cooling water to relieve the body heatiness.Other than coffee, they serves honey lime with jelly and passion fruit. We ordered passion fruit because my friend not really a big fans of coffee. Pleasant drink for a hot day.I'm really in love with their Mille Crepe and I will definitely come back for more. continue reading

Love Mille crepes? Then you would love this one! I know I fell in love with it. Pioneer in the country from years back as I remember is the Nadeje in Melaka. Then there are a couple of others in the Klang Valley/ Pj area but they never really did have a reputation like Nadeje. And now there is the Winter Lover bakery house in Kota Damansara. If you aren’t familiar with this area called ‘The Strand’ then it might be a bit troublesome to locate the shop. Especially when it is located on the first floor and right below it already has an overpowering coloured signature from the restaurant located at the ground floor. You gotta really see and look hard for the tiny shop sign board that leads you upstairs. However, upon entering this tiny little bakery house, an instant calmness would sooth everyone’s state of mind within a few seconds. The lightings were cozy and there are many large window panes which allow natural light into the space. That is incredible to reconnect indoor and outdoor even though they are one storey above the ground. The seat layouts are arranged in such where it is suitable for small groups of people to hang around and spend some quality time over some amazing afternoon tea and sweet bites. The floors are nicely furbished with Japanese wooden plank styles. There are also some bar seats for those wanting some alone and private time. The tea time promotions are the most popular for most dine in customers. Others just walk in and take away slices of amazing layers of cake. Tea time promotions are from 3pm – 6 pm and are only valid on weekdays. Set A: 1 cake + 1 drink + 2 macaroons for RM 22.90Set B: 2 cake + 2 whoopie pies +4 macaroons for RM 39.90Set C: 2 cakes + 2 whoopie pies + 4 drinks +8 macaroons for RM 69.90There is a wide array of tea to choose from and they are nicely served in pots with candle lit at the bottom to keep tea at warm temperature from time to time. The cake has got really fresh and amazing texture a good slice of mille crepe should have. It was smooth and mildly sweet with a touch of great flavours, all 18 of them. I was having the Hokkaido Milk flavour amd according to the owner, their cakes are delivered daily. So are the assorted macaroons available here. Also, the flavours changes every now and then, so regular customers won’t be sick of the same flavours all the time.Speaking of macaroons, here are all that the flavours (from top of pyramid:Gooey marshmallow, Chocolate, Yam, Nutty oreo, Jackfruit, Red velvet, Salty caramel, Lychee, and Banana) each selling at RM 3.90. I thought Lychee flavour was rather intriguing. There are more choices of light bites and tea time snacks which some may find interesting. Apparently their Oreo Whoopies are rather amazing too. While you are there, don’t forget to check out their decorative items there too.The cakes are selling at RM 9.90 each and they provide delivery services at a minimum order of course. continue reading

Lychee macaron. We chose a few macarons to try on, apart from the limited edition Black Forest macaron, we took this lychee marcarons too. The top and bottom "biscuit" were crispy and empty in the middle. The cream has strong lychee sense and it was very sweet. The texture was slightly sticky though. I dont mind savouring the macarons but not too many of them as they were too sweet. continue reading

Winter Lover serves a variety of flower tea in pots. The menu has details of each flower tea with different functions. Some of the tea are for detox, some for slimming, beauty, relaxation, etc. The flower tea is a great beverage to go with the mille crepe. The flower tea has very nice soothing taste and the mild aroma of the flowers are very relaxing. You can request to add more hot water when the tea finished continue reading

continue reading
