It was my first time to dine-in at here via invitation fromOpensnap!“Thank you Opensnap for this opportunity”, says Kath.I heard that the name has its own meaning, where WA means harmony and TAMI means people. It was founded by Watanabe Miki.It is located at level 4 Pavilion, nearby Chatime and DOME Café.The interior is nice, spacious and the light is quite dim. Itis suitable for large groups of people as they have private room as long as youreserve few days on their website. Back to the topic, I received invitation from Opensnap todine-in at here after won one of their contest.Feel free to follow me on OPENSNAPID: kathryndemunny (wanted to change the name but can’tT__T)There are some food pictures I posted.Link: kathryndemunnyOpensnap: Mango Cheese Bingsu | Seoul Bingsu PV128One of their staff explained to us what was provided in themenu. They gave us to choose one of the main courses, either chicken, beef, pork or salmon. So I chose BEEF as I really do love it after get influencedby someone. We waited for 30 minutes perhaps to get our meal served. Meanwhile, everyone was chit chatting while waiting.Surprisingly the food portion was big when it came. I waslike “WOW! It’s time to capture1st!”Wafu Touban Gyu Steak with Rice (Self-grilled short ribs)It came in a set with miso soup, skewer (chicken and pork),Idori Sushi (Salmon & Maguro) and Sushi (Ebi, Ni Hotate & Mini Tempura).YES, for the first time I get to grill it on my own! *quiteexcited*I love the texture of the meat, chewy and flavourful. Theyalso served us special sauce to dip it with meat. *excellent!* The miso soupwas good, best to eat it with rice!! *my favourite*The sushi was so fresh and delicious. However, the wasabiserved was tasteless and not spicy. When comes to tempura, the shrimp tempura was a littledisappointed. It was soft, not chewy and covered with a lot of flour. This is teriyaki chicken set.Passion Fruit Green TeaIt was a mixture of passion fruits and green tea. It tasteda little sour but normal. I still prefer normal green tea.Chocolate Ice-creamTo be honest, the texture of the ice-cream was smooth, butthe chocolate flavor in it was not strong enough. Not really my cup ofice-cream.Once again, thank you so much for the invitation, Opensnap!******************************Website | Facebook | The Menu | MapWatami Japanese Casual Restaurant Malaysia | Pavilion KLAddress: Lot C4.04.00, Level 4 Connection Precinct, Pavilion KL Shopping Mall, 168, Jalan Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaBusiness Hours: 11AM - 10PMTel: +60321416671 / 016 920 6032******************************Ohh yea! Our office have organized a movie day for us and we can tag along our immediate family to join in for the Transformers 4 Age of Extinction at Pavilion on Friday night. We reached early just a walking distance and our colleagues suggested to try Watami. We have almost 10 peoples together and occupied the long tables..Watami is located at 4th Floor and this place is comfortable to dine in with ample space of the seats. Service is good and they have this set menu which is quite reasonable for two person with 5 main course from appetizer to desserts for only RM 69.80. WA stands for Harmony and TAMI stands for People. Therefore Watami means “gather people to dine in harmony”. This is my first visit and my colleagues they have tried their set menu for few times and it was really worth it.WATAMI Salad is highly recommended..this is something refreshing and light, served as a great appetizer. Served with chicken, shrimp and tuna mayo plus lots of fresh vegetables..topped with some fish roe too.Salmon and flying fish roe..mixing all together in a hot stone bowl..Fresh salmon with a good combination of the raw egg and fish roe..i love the bottom part of the crunchy cracks rice too..DeliciousKushiyaki Moriawase -This is the assorted skewers that consist of 5 skewers per serving - beef & spring onion roll skewer, chicken thigh skewer, pork & cherry tomato roll skewer, chicken gristle skewer, chicken wing skewer. Such a perfect balance.Saba Fish and Tonpeiyaki (Pork). Both are awesome..also their signature food here..Fresh and aromatic.Tune Brisket Roll Sushi - Good in texture and each pieces of the sushi is huge..Bariuma Teba Karaage -Crispy Fried Chicken Wing with Special Sauce. Smaller version of the fried chicken wing. Worth trying it out for the appetizer choices for chicken lovers.Authentic Japanese cuisine to modern casual menu..lots of choicesEbi Tempura Sushi Roll..soft sushi rice with crispy tempura.Transformers fan..heheSinful desserts to end our meal..i prefer the sweet potatoes pudding..it was good.Watami Malaysia @ Pavilion KL C4.04.00, Level 4, Pavilion KL Shopping Mall, 168, Jalan Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.T: +603-2141 6671Website : http://www.watami.com.my/watami/ continue reading

This restaurant is my favorite place, mostly for lunch, as their lunch set is very worth for money and with big portion. Of course, the a-lar carte menu is also very interesting. This ramen soup is very delicious, the miso taste is very strong, the noodles they give is a lot too, there is also half egg and a lot of meat in the soup, the sesame that spread on top is added value to the ramen. Overall, the taste of this ramen soup is very nice, price is reasonable as the portion is big, their service is friendly. continue reading
