Do you have lots of fun and gifts from your loved ones?Anyway, I wish you all had a very good time in this merry session!I got so many things to blog so I think I better blog the cheesecakes I had with my family during the Christmas holiday.If you are a cheesecake lover, you probably will be adding this post to your collection. #heheFor some of you, you are probably familiar with Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake since it located at the major shopping malls in Malaysia.I visited the new branch at IOI City Mall which just newly open in November.It is located at the lower ground floor inside the mall which abound with numerous food stalls and restaurants.Uncle Tetsu originated from Kyushu, Japan since 1990 and it has expanded to Taiwan, Singapore, China, Thailand and Philippines.In Malaysia, they now have total 8 branches in KL, Johor and Penang.Uncle Tetsu's vision is to expand the business internationally and would like to deliver his freshness Japanese cheesecakes to people around the world!All cheesecakes are made and prepared freshly from the oven daily as Uncle Tetsu wants to make sure every single bites of the cake is fresh.Therefore, "Make, Sell, Make, Sell" is the most important factor from Uncle Tetsu of his products.All cheesecakes are advised to finish within 3 days from the day you purchase and it also would be good to store the cakes in the refrigerator to keep them tasting fresh.Besides, the ingredients also play an important role on the cheesecakes; whereby Uncle Tetsu only select and use premium ingredients to produce the fresh cheesecake.#1 Premium and imported cream cheese, #2 Fresh eggs from the local farms, #3 Luxury and quality milk are all the most secret important ingredients to produce the great taste.Uncle Tetsu not only has a simple store concept, but also very straight forward menu to the customers.This is their Signature Cheesecake @ RM21.00 with 2 types of flavours: original and chocolate.Each cheesecakes are packed in a square box and wrapped with a kind of cheesecloth over the cake.It's so cute to see each cake printed with the brand's logo using an electric heater.The size of the cake is diameter of 16cm.Although the cakes are made with full cheese, yet they aren't that cheese-heavy like the other bakeries did.The texture is light and more like soft-sponge; I bet you can't eat just one piece as it will melt in your mouth easily.Uncle Tetsu Cheese Zuccotto is another type of cheesecake from their recipe.They also named it as Hat series as it has a adorable shape like the skull cap worn by the Italians.This hat series are made with a combination of the premium cheese from Australia and New Zealand, which confirm will melt your heart with it's rich and creamy texture.Compared to the 16cm signature cheesecake, this series are more like a cotton because of it's frothy and softer texture.Each costs @ RM21.90 and comes with 3 different flavours such as original, strawberry and chocolate.Last but not least, the Uncle Tetsu Cheesestick is a kind of cheese snacks with it's crunchy-crispy texture.It has the same flavouers as the hat series since they cut the sticks out from the hat series and backed them in the oven with 120 degree for a duration of 2 hours,It costs RM8.50 with a mixture of three flavours: original, strawberry and chocolate in a plastic cup like this.I had all types of the products from Uncle Tetsu for my family to celebrate the Christmas session.I feel glad that my whole family love it very much!My nieces love the cheesesticks; they said it's a fun snack to munch on while watching the tv.My dad and mum have diabetes but they can eat at least 2 small pieces as they said these aren't that sweet compare to the others.My sister who loves cheesecake said it's unlike the western cheesecake as it is more delicious because it is crustless, lighter and softer like cotton.If you have a liking for cheesecakes, you shall give Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake a try.I am sure you will fall in love with it! Cheesecake has always been my favourite dessert of all time. I have even bought a cookbook that specialised in making cheesecake! I have tried making Japanese cheesecake for a couple of times and it never taste as good as Uncle Tetsu's Cheesecake. Thanks to OpenRice, we had a chance to feast on these wonderful cheesecakes at IOI City Mall. All the cheesecakes at Uncle Tetsu's Cheesecake are prepared and baked fresh daily at the store. While we are collecting the cheesecakes, I observed that the workers are busy taking out a batch of freshly baked cheesecakes from the oven. There are a variety of cheesecakes sold in Uncle Tetsu's Cheesecake namely Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake, Uncle Tetsu Cheese Zuccotto (Hat Series), and Uncle Tetsu Cheesestick.Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake is prepared and baked fresh daily, premium and imported ingredient is selected on preparing the batter, and steam baked to perfection. Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake comes with tantalizing aroma, cotton soft and fluffiness texture. It comes in 2 flavours: original or chocolate flavour. Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake, that's the cheesecake that I've heard so much from my friends. They told me that Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake is one of the best and yummy cheesecake so far. I always wanted to buy and try but the price is really expensive. It cost around RM20 for a cheseecake, I will just give it a pass whenever I pass by the shop. Last December was the Christmas festive season and I'm going home to celebrate with my family. So, I've decided to bring back some yummy cheesecake to share with my family despite the expensive price. These are the Uncle Tetsu Cheesecake that I brought home with me. I got the signature cheesecake which comes with 2 flavours - the orginal and chocolate, the hat series Cheese Zuccotto cake and the cheesesticks. As mentioned earlier, it was the Christmas season, thus the cute paper bag has been given for free when we purchased the cheesecake. The original signature cheesecake @ RM21Don't you love the Christmas emoticon on the cheesecake? I'm sure kids will love it too.This signature cheesecake was really fluffy and soft as the cheesecake will be baked fresh daily and most importantly, the imported ingredients is selected on preparing the batter, and steam baked to perfection. The Signature Cheesecake - chocolate flavour. It taste almost same with the orginal one but chocolate flavour taste stronger. I'm sure you will like the tantalizing aroma, cotton soft and fluffiness texture too because I do.Do you know that, cheesecake can be served in cold and hot too? Here's the instruction if you want to enjoy the cheesecake like it's freshly baked! You will need to cut the cake into desired slice, and heat it up in microwave. Thus, each bite of Cheese Zuccotto are full of rich, frothy, and creamy texture.The taste was quite mild compare to the signature cheesecake but this hat series is even more fluffy compare to the signature one. There are 3 flavours under hat series, Angel Hat (Original), Cupid Hat (Strawberry), and Devil Hat (Dark Chocolate). Still remember the craze when opening of the first Uncle Tetsu at 1 Utama? Long queue and a limited amount was instituted, people have to queuing up patiently for freshly baked cheesecakes, which take approximately 45 minutes. I always curious why peoples are crazy on Uncle Tetsu, so i google search and get to know their origin story.Uncle Tetsu’s Cheesecake began on Oyafukou Street in Hakata and was introduced to a specialty Australian cheese. I was at Uncle Tetsu to order the Signature Cheesecake, The Hat Series Chocolate Cheesecake, The Chocolate Cheesecake and The Cheese stick. They also have the Hat series in Strawberry but I didn't try that.First of all, service is great, the waitress working there took my order quickly and the cakes was ready immediately. I heard that usually there would be a long wait time at least 20 min but I did not experience that. My favourite is still The Signature Cheesecake. It is indeed very soft and fluffy and kind of melts in the mouth. Being Christmas, the stamp of Uncle Tetsu turned into a santa on the cake. This cake can last about 3-4 days, the expiry date is written on the box. It doesn't need to go into the fridge immediately, but if nto consumed within the day then it needs to be refrigerated.Next I tried the Chocolate Cheesecake. The chocolate taste is quite strong, will be loved by chocolate lovers. However, the cheese taste is less so I think I prefer the pure cheesecake.Here's the two cakes together.The cheesestick is sold at RM8.50 in three flavours, cheese, chocolate and strawberry. I love this as a snack as it is so crispy and crunchy yet it is not hard. The flavour will burst in your mouth once you bite it in.From this I realise that the strawberry cake will be superb as the cheesetick taste so good. The hat series is something new and I should have chosen strawberry flavour but I chose Chocolate instead as I love chocolate. This one is more moist then the Chocolate cheesecake earlier but the portion seems smaller. It is tall and small, but this is great if you want to eat mor without feeling the strong taste in the mouth, the hat series melts even more. It cannot be left out for long, it must be kept in the fridge after 3-4 hours.
