Tong Pak Fu is a Hong Kong brand of dessert house which famous for their shaved ice. In addition to hot and cold Hong Kong desserts, Tong Pak Fu also features Western style desserts. In fact, there is an endless variety of desserts on their menu to choose from. Some of their most popular dishes include Chocolate Lava Cake, Glutinous Rice, Mango Snow Ice, and Peanut Cream Soup. The ambience at Tong Pak Fu is bright, cheery, and colourful where orange is their main color for the interior design. I have ordered Black Sesame Cream. The Black Sesame is really smooth, creamy and delicious. One of us who is not fancy about sweet dessert has ordered Jasmine Pearl Tea. Their tea container is very special where it can separate out the leaf and the tea. You can even request to refill hot water. Overall, I think the all desserts here are very tempting and the environment is really comfortable. continue reading

Depends on whether you like peanut butter (this might sounds gross! ); you might just like or hate this. Of course, it's not "buttery" and overtly thick like peanut butter. But still you get the sticky, creamy texture..mainly from blended crushed peanuts cooked for hours with milk. Actually I would prefer the consistency to be thicker, I feel it's a little to mild. And there's only a tiny portion of crushed peanuts sprinkling on top as well. I would have prefer them to sprinkle more continue reading

I'm the Malaysian who loves everything durian, almost everything. I have tried durian ice cream (loved it!), tried durian cheesecake (mad love for that!) but I have never tried durian snow ice before. Of course, that was until my friend suggested I try these amazing snow ice from Tong Pak Fu. When this was served, I could smell the amazing strong durian smell of it. And I just melted. It was also very tall, the snow ice and I was just in awe. Took a spoonful of it, and my so delish! I went to a durian heaven. It was lovely to eat this, and I would definitely head back there for more of this goodness. continue reading

Tong Pak Fu is one of the latest famous dessert shop in Hong Kong,it's really glad that it opened in Malaysia. The shop is quite small but comfortable, staffs are very friendly too. They have a lot of choices,we chose their best selling item~sesame snow ice and I chose my beloved dessert Mango sago cream with pomeloThe waiter suggests my hubby to order sesame snow ice said this one is best selling and very delicious, the black sesame taste is strong,if u love sesame sure would love this dessert but the strawberry is too sour Mango sago cream with pomelo is my most favorite HK dessert, but none of the Malaysia dessert shop able to make a good one. Luckily Tong Pak Fu 's is much better and the taste got 80% similar to HK one. The mango is quite sweet and aromatic, but the pomelo seems little bit bitter ...anyway it is still the best Mango sago cream with pomelo that I ever tried in Malaysia so far.I would say we will never order snack from them again..cos the taste no good...we expect the taste would be HK style one but the curry fish ball is using 'Indian curry' Totally not HK curry taste.... and the worst one is glutinous rice, sticky & wet like glue... I think we better only order dessert next time continue reading

I'm surprised that when I pass by Tong Pak Fu at Empire Subang, it is quite empty with not much crowd. I find it more comfortable there because of the lesser crowd and I enjoy some nourishing desserts there. Tong Pak Fu serves an assortment of double-boiled soups. It is boiled for many hours for the Chinese condiments to reveal its fragrance and health benefits. Double-boiled Snow Pear with Snow Fungus (银耳香杏炖鸭梨) @ RM8.80The traditional Chinese dessert is so warm and mild in sugar level. It is said to improve blood circulation and increase metabolism, and it is a very good alternative when I don't have the time to boil it at home. So light broth yet stuffed with health goodness, I certainly love this for its nourishing values! However, it would be better if it can be slightly sweeter so that it goes smoother and more comfortable down the throat. continue reading
