In a mood for a high protein lunch, I decided (after a good 30 minutes of indecisiveness) to half a shawarma at Tarbush Express. Instead of the regular shawarma (RM10) which looked very small, I decided to go for a larger shawarma platter. At RM20, it seemed substantially larger (more than 2x) than the portion of the regular serving.Needless to say, it was ultra filling.The hummus wasn't much, and was only decent - not great. It lacked the smoothness (it tasted a little powdery) and didn't have much of an aroma; but it was otherwise still pretty good.I'm not sure if the onions were meant to be a variation of tabbouleh, but it was mostly just onion and parsley and was dry. I was not impressed.The lamb was flavourful though; a little moist but a little too tough. The yoghurt sauce and onions really balanced the flavours out well. Unfortunately since the lamb was a little dry, the yoghurt wasn't enough to compensate.Overall, flavour is quite good, but lacking mostly in the area of moisture.
