Sky Bar is located on top of Traders Hotel 33rd floor where you can enjoy the finest skyline view of Kuala Lumpur and makes you feel you're in the sky. There's a long pool in the middle of the bar too. Be careful not to drop into the pool especially the ladies because i was afraid i would drop into the pool when walking too near.To enjoy the panoramic city view, be sure to sit at the window view place. They served delicious cocktails and scrumptious snacks. continue reading

SkyBar seems a lot more casual before the sun sets, with hotel guests swimming and basking in the warmth. But the daytime view outside lacks the impression made by KL's night skyline. The signature cocktails are still outstanding though. Selangor Sling (gin and cherry brandy shaken with pineapple juice, lemon juice and Angostura bitters topped with Benedictine DOM). Raised In Manhattan (rosso vermouth and Canadian club rye whiskey infused with dark raisin). A pre-dinner snack of yellow fin tuna tartar topped with tomato granita. continue reading

Skybar is one of the most prominent bars in KL. The bar is quite similar to Luna Bar as they have a pool in the middle and it is open air but their view of the Twin Towers is much better as they are right next to them. They are a cocktail bar and their beer selections on tap is limited, actually they have only two which are Tiger and Guinness. The drinks I would suggest trying will be the shaken hemingway daiquiri, shaken margarita, mojito, and the singapore sling. You can also order cocktails that are not in the menu, they will do customized orders. I would also suggest to try out a shaken mojito rather than the traditional churned one, as the flavours just mixes together very well. Its better to not order their frozen cocktails as it ruins the flavour and just tastes diluted. They use premium brands in their cocktails like Belvedere, Anejo 1800 and Tanqueray 10 so the quality is definitely there.Their prices are steep, it rivals the bars in major cities around the world. For food, I would recommend the wagyu beef burger, the meat is tender but it can be a little on the dry side.I would not recommend any wines as there are very subjective and depends on the person's preferences but my favourite would be the Antinori Peppoli Chianti from Italy. (I have a thing for Italian chianti)Lastly, the bartenders that are good there are Kumar, Edwin and Edmund so ask them to make your cocktails. continue reading
