continue reading

The bungalow house that turned into restaurant is situated along Jalan Segambut. It has quite big parking space but during peak hours it was packed and jam.Once get seated,we were given a piece of paper to write down how many pieces of Yong Tau Foo you want and pass to the waitress or ordering.Gravy Yong Tau FooAll the Yong Tau Foo was stuffed with fish paste and it serve with the Hakka style gravy except the fried type. The gravy was good don't have a strong taste of MSG. I love the white beancurd, it was soft and bland. And also the brinjal was fresh and tender.Fried Sui Kau (Dumpling) and Fried Foo ChokIs our all time favorite on the menu.It was crispy , fresh filling inside and wont oily .The crispiness is addictive and it hard to refuse have more of it.Paper Wrap ChickenThe wrapped chicken comes with quite generous portion. The chicken is moist and well marinate. Reminder - Be gentle to unwrap the paper to avoid the sauce will spill around.Other than Yong Tau Foo, Most of the every table has a plate of Fruit Rojak (fruit salad with prawn paste sauce) and Taufu Bakar (Grilled beancurd). We decided to order both to try.Fruit RojakThe taste was good. It will be awesome if the prawn paste more strong taste and thick.Love the crispy crackers and nuts that sprinkled on top.Taufu BakarThe taste delicious and crispy. It grilled the beancurd till crispy and stuffed with bean sprout, carrot, cucumber and water chestnuts. Then put on the prawn paste sauce and nuts sprinkled on top.The service is quick and the price is reasonable. Is one of my favorite list to have lunch. My Blog : http://eatwitbugbug.blogspot.com/2013/05/ipoh-road-yong-tau-fu.html continue reading

An old lady, i really mean that she is really old, comes around with a tray of cold dessert anf herbal tea. The items she is selling depends on what she has, sometimes it was sea coconut, loh hon guo, guai ling gou, etc. If you like what she is selling, you just pay straight to her. I think she is an independent vendor at this place, so earns whatever she can sell from her tray. Her sweet desserts and herbal tea are all home made, very refreshing and cooling. Not too sweet and also reasonable price. continue reading
