I have never had herbal chicken in Korea but this herbal chicken really tastes GOOD. This is a half-chicken set with a little bit rice inside. There is a full chicken set as well. The soup is really so good and achieving what I expect. Its taste can remain on the taste bud for a long time. It is sufficiently fulfilling, but if you can eat more, order a rice and eat with this yummy soup

This restaurant is really similar to the those in Korea! Awesome. I ordered Kimchi Chigeh ( Kimchi Soup with rice). This one is quite similar to the one I have in Korea. It has always been my favourite Korea Food. This Kimchi Chigeh doesn't fail me. Its taste is GOOD although it is quite spicy for me! Highly recommended!

Kim Chi Jjikeh (Boiled Kim Chi Soup) 韩国泡菜汤 RM15.90
Isn’t kimchi a must whenever we go for Korean food? This came in generous portion of enoki mushrooms, tofu, glass noodle, chicken and napa cabbage.
To tell the truth, I only began to accept Kim Chi after the trip to Korea due to their perfect balance between spiciness, sourness and mild burning sensation. Unlike my other friends that commented on how this is the best Kimchi they had or how the flavor stood out from others, I couldn’t feel anything but the burning sensation on my throat that was so much stronger than the spiciness and sourness I could taste from this stew of fermented vegetables soup. I stopped after a few scoops and even Jason struggled to finish this off.

Side Dishes
of Kim Chi (Napa Cabbage), Dried Anchovies and Chilled Tofu with Diced Chilies
The side dishes are non-refillable which is against the norm of Korean restaurants. Still, the portion of main dish is big enough to ask for second helping of these side dishes.

SamGyeTang (Korean Ginseng Chicken) 参鸡汤 RM17.90 for half chicken
Another piping hot soup in stew: Ginseng, jujube (red date) and glutinous rice beneath the spring chicken. The chicken meat was tender enough to fall off the bone by its own and I must say for that instance, this tiny restaurant was filled with none other but fragrant of these herbs. It very much resembles Chinese herbal soup. I still miss the samgyetang I had back then of thick and creamy texture of chicken broth along with a small complimentary cup of insamju (ginseng wine). Yet, one can’t complain as that would easily cost double of what Haeun Khon offers.

In contrary with what others might think of the lack-of-smile service, I find them to be more or less friendly. Perhaps it was the after peak lunch hour of our visit. Haeun Khon is definitely one of the cheaper alternatives for Korean food but I doubt if it can be crowned the best.

Whenever visiting this place in a big group, don't forget to go for the Chicken Okonomi Yaki. This Japanese Pizza with lots of bonito shavings, nori flakes, and bbq sauce sells at a reasonable price of RM 16.90. And trust me when I say this, better have more than 3 pax to order this if this dish is add on dish. See the size of it next to my camera lense cap.

When think of Korean rice, fist thing on everyone’s mind would be the Dol sot Bibimbab. Here, it comes with optional of either beef or chicken at RM 15.90. Spicy food lover should not miss their famous Kimchi Jiggae which is fiery and deliciously spicy when boiling hot. Also comes with some few sides and white rice, this awesome soup sells at RM 15.90. It also comes with optional chicken or beef to cater to those whom aren’t comfortable with beef.

I return for the Samgyetang (Korean Ginseng Chicken) because I love it so much. Ginseng chicken, being the Korean traditional healthy soup is amazing with the usage of only spring chicken and finally the patient boiling with herbs alongside glutinous rice, ginseng jujube, garlic etc. The Ginseng chicken soup is one of the few good ones around town and not to mention how reasonably priced, and portioned to cater to personal diners. Priced at RM 27 for a whole chicken and RM 17.90 for half chicken, if you are not a big eater, this is served with some side dishes.

I love the fact that the ingredients are not stingy at all. The whole ginseng root in the soup never fails to impress me every time.

Looking for delicious and reasonably- priced Korean food? Haeun Khon Korean Restaurant is the place. Among the dishes that i recommend would be the spicy Kimchi Jigae and satisfying Bibimbap. For those who shy away from spicy food, the Korean Ginseng Chicken and Beef Bulgogi are not to be missed. Despite the name of the restaurant, they also serves Japanese and Chinese dishes.

Korean set dishes cost an average of RM15+ My favorite would be the kimchi soup rice set. It's really spicy and it clears my flu!!! They also have japanese set variety such as tepanyakki, which are ok ok. The korean variety are definitely better. Lunch hours (weekdays) are always packed. Then they're closed towards the mid afternoon and opens again for dinner.

Do Sot Pi Pim Bab (RM14.90). There is 2 options: hot pot and the normal one (less RM2). I quite like the bibimbap, and you cant do no wrong with it. When it has slightly burned taste on the rice, super love it. The set came with 2 pieces of apple, a bowl of soup, a plate of kimchi, pancake and tofu. The kimchi doesnt have the tangy taste compared to other Korean restaurant. That's why I can eat this version of kimchi.

The menu was quite limited and they have a mixture of Korean food set and Japanese food set. Dak Bulbogi (RM14.90). The chicken soup came in a boiling hot pot together with 3 appetizers. The soup tasted so sweet, I love it! The soup also has glass noodles in it. The restaurant was tiny and the space was quite tight, it was very stuffy too! No fan and no aircon. I was sweating like mad half way through my meal.

Due to its small space, hence, the dining tables are of limited as well. The interior is simple but business is quite good for a small business like this one.

To our surprise, when the fish lunch set as shown in the picture served to us, we were like "wow, what a big fish, so generous" the whole fish which was of the length size from the head to the end tail like 10 inc. Really an affordable tasty set meal we had.

Certainly will return for more.

Restaurant still looked pretty much the same as before, just like how I remembered it to be, a first glance through the menu and I noticed that the price of food is somewhat the same as well, perhaps the price did increase but not too significant to be noticed.

I ordered the Grilled Bulgogi Chicken set (beef is available too). Chicken was fairly tender, cooked in the sweet-ish bulgogi sauce and gave off a lovely fragrance from far. However, the portion of chicken was not much, but with the complimentary side dishes (tofu, kimchi and bean sprouts) with a bowl of rice and soup (and fruits!), this set meal turned out to be quite satisfying to me

Bibimbap for the bf. Carrot strips, seaweed, fried egg, cucumber strips, red bell pepper and so on. Mixed these ingredients evenly with the rice covered in bibimbap sauce and you're good to go!
