Signature Dishes
One of my favourite orders at Asia Cafe has to be the Vietnamese chicken rice. It was actually set up by a relative and the taste is seriously good at the beginning. But in recent years, the business changed hand. Today, when I went to order, it was a foreigner who took the order and manning the stall. When the food came, it didn't have the original zesty look anymore. As expected, the chicken lack the lemon grass spice and taste. The rice is a bit too moist for my liking and it looks too clump together and sticky. The spicy sour sauce is the only thing left familiar in the dish. It adds some flavour to the chicken. The chicken doesn't taste bad actually, just lacking the oomph. It was quite well marinated and I got the smooth, thigh part. I also vaguely remembered the vege being the coleslaw salad type but clearly it's not the case anymore.
