Vietnamese cuisines are simply indulgences of palates teased with soupy elixirs and poultries. Upon dinning in O’viet, we embark on oriental odysseys with lots of raw ingredients. If you like soupy meals, try traditional Vietnamese chicken and prawn noodles (pho ga tom). But honestly I wouldn’t order this here. This is somewhat ‘ipoh hor fun’ to me. And if we walk to any food court, a bowl of this is probably half the price of what we paid for here with the similar ingredients including the fresh prawns and chicken fillet in clear soup with rice noodles. For some reason, the noodle didn’t quite fascinate me. Not even the special seafood soup noodles (pho hai san)- Fresh prawns, fish fillet, fried shrimp balls, squid and cuttlefish in mildly spicy soup. They make good choices if seeking for bland ans simple flavours. continue reading

Premium Vietnamese Drip Coffee. We wanted to order some other types of coffee because they seemed to be more interesting. Unfortunately, they were no longer served during our visit. My comment about this? Ugh. Oh my. It was so extremely bitter no matter how much of condensed milk was added. I had to take a sip, and ate a little bit of condensed milk to balance the taste.Vietnamese Summer Rolls / Fresh Rice Paper Rolls. I never like mint leaves, but this appetizer came together with mint leaves. Still, it wasn’t too strong and it was acceptable because the taste was somehow covered by the sauce (made of peanut, I guess). A good appetizer I would say!BBQ Lemongrass Chicken Chop with Rice. Don had this. It was considerably good, or at least much better than what I had. The chicken chop was not perfectly done, but still okay, and the others were pretty normal.Grilled Lemongrass Chicken with Dry Noodles. I am not quite sure about the name of my bowl of noodles. It was a Vietnamese salad that came together with noodles, vegetables, and two sticks of chicken satay. Two small sticks of chicken satay. And it was priced at RM16.90. Hm.Although it was pricey, the environment and services were good. The waiters wouldn’t stop smiling. continue reading

dining in vietnamese cuisine is really a truly amazing experience.o viet vietnamese cuisine is located at sunway pyramid. service is good. can understand english and take our order. the deco is nice and i really love the environment herevietnam cuisine is really unique and delicious. This vietnamese roll is a nother traditional Vietnamese specialty and should not be missed. T he Vietnamese way to eat these appetizers are to have them wrapped in a lettuce leaf with some mint leaves and marinated carrot and dipped in a special brown nutty and slightly pungent saucehere also famous of their Chicken soup with bean sprouts and basil (RM8.90). I love the spicy earthy note of basil which lends a sharp contrast to the taste of chicken. really good to try on and not to forget their vietnamese desserts. really need to try this continue reading

The exterior is beautiful - I think it recently went through a facelift or something. Environment is warm and cozy. The interior was well designed, Chinese lanterns and lightings, ambiance was good. Some food ratings: Mixed Roll DeliteRating: 3/5, Original price RM18.90A high class (read: more expensive) version of your street popiah. Ingredients were ok, but doesn't give you the refreshing taste your hawker side noodle gives you.Vietnamese Beef NoodlesRating: 3/5, Original price RM15.90The special guest had this since we were taking the dry stuff. He said it was ok. . .Although I have to admit that I had tasted a better version at Pho Hoa @ Curve, Damansara Utama. This just din't impress me.Grilled prawn with imperial roll noodlesRating: 3.5/5, Original price RM17.90Somewhat traditional Vietnamese Vermicelli with prawns and spring roll, which my bro and I took. Again, I feel that the Viet Vermicelli @ Pho Hoa is better. The sauce they provided there was refreshing, while there was no sauce here apart from sour chilli paste. Portion of ingredients were fair.Jasmine and strawberry teaRating: 3/5, Price: RM6.90My dad found it weird, while I find it mediocre. Strange tasting, not bitter but nothing exotic as well.verdict: try at own riskOverall the experience was a normal one, nothing impressive. I'll probably not come back again since I can get the same stuff at a fraction of the price.Overall ratings: Food: 3/5, again, nothing to shout about. Wouldn't highly recommend it.Ambiance: 4/5 - The ambience was pretty high class, no dirty cushions etcService: 4/5, no complains, though a tad slow at timesPrice: 3/5 (Based on the deal price), Din't feel like the food was amazing. continue reading
