Nasi lemak ayam rendang at Old Town Coffee seems like another comfort food for me. The chicken rendang was a big piece and cooked to perfection. The chicken tasted very fragrant, as many spices were used to cook it. I can taste some lemon grass if not mistaken. The chicken rendang has a thick sauce full of coconut flavor. Served with the coconut rice, sambal, fried anchovies, peanuts, crackers and cucumber. The rice was not fluffy, it was too moist. Perhaps too much water cooking the rice. continue reading
