Mitasu Japanese Restaurant is located at Central Plaza, Sultan Ismail and this building is easily located just along the road side of the busy city center. Offering wide selection of Japanese food, affordable buffet price at this area. The ala carte buffet menu is quite variety and all fresh served from the kitchen. You just have to sit down relaxed and wait for the food to be served on your dining table. But wastage of food will be chargeable. I guess the fun of having the ala carte buffet menu is to gather more people to dine in together, thus all of us can try all the food in the menu. Seats are quite limited and the space is actually very smallTiger prawn looks promisingBeautifully platted sashimi (Salmonm, tuna and butterfish) - fresh and tastySeasoned Baby OctopusSalmon FilletFresh MusselsSilky smooth chawanmushiZaku SobaShishamo Fresh Oysters Finally, indulge our selves with the chilled ice cream dessertsValue for money. Relatively value-for-money Japanese dining: Mitasu's all-you-can-eat offer for RM53.90+, which runs daily for dinner (plus lunch on weekends).Salads? Not bad, but not memorable; that applies for this crab stick oneFood's served to order; freshness seems assured when customers request sashimi Sushi can be topped with the likes of cooked shrimp & shrimp roe rolls might be stuffed with substantial tuna, omelet & cucumberSome will find the seasoned baby octopus worth savoring.salmon, satisfactory enough to feel like a genuine a la carte order.Oysters? Mitasu's got 'em, available in their raw, slurp-worthy formbowl topped with smoked duck.Surprise! Who knew that these house-made Japanese cucumber pickles might be one of our favorite items here. Lovably juicy-crunchy.Haven't had a California hand roll in ages; glad we had it here. selection of salmon, tuna, butter fish & sometimes, yellow tail continue reading

It located at Central Plaza at Jln Sultan Ismail ,It just behind the Pavillion shopping Mall and in between Standard Chartered bank & Wendys, 7-11.The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and relaxing. The Ala Carte Buffet Menu are quite a lot of choice of selection to order. You can ordered as much as you can but charges will be applied to food wastage at the rate of RM 10 for every 100gsm.Sashimi Salmon, Akami (tuna) and Abura Bozu (butter fish)All are good and fresh. The most i love will be the salmon Yakimono - Saba (Mackarel)It comes with a thin layer of golden crispy skin and fresh juicy meatEbi Tempura (Prawn Tempura)The Ebi tempura was so crispy. It gave a loud crunch as I bite into it. The batter wasn't too thick either. I love it so much Assorted Sushi Vinegared rice ball topped with fresh toppingFresh OysterThe oyster are fresh and sweet in taste Half Shell Oyster Mentaiyaki (Grilled Oyster with Cod Roe)They are still a bit raw but the exterior is cooked. The oyster pretty fresh and sweet in taste. Teppanyaki Ika (Squid)The squid not overcooked and taste is nice and a thumbs up for it.Ice Cream with choice of Chocolate,Strawberry, Black Sesame,Green Tea flavor.Must try the Black Sesame and the Green Tea Flavor is homemade by themselves It smooth, flavorful and not too sweet. This would be one of my favorite Japanese Buffet Restaurant It serve the A La Carte Buffet everyday as below info. Don't forget to call for reservation. continue reading

Imagine my surprised when my friend and I arrived at this quiet, hidden Japanese restaurant on a Sunday at lunch time. WHY!The whole place was empty, as if I booked the whole place. The restaurant is located at Central Plaza, KL, just right behind Pavillion and next to Menara Standard Chartered. As far as I know parking charges is RM 6 per entry (weekends). After further investigation, the restaurant just open about 3 months back and is mostly pack on weekdays (lunch and dinner). I reckon its mostly visited by office crowds, and since its so new, this hidden gem is not yet known to the general public. First off, the place ambiance was simple and normal, but there is a quiet corner with sofa chair and open glass view. In addition, I realized there are a few rooms, probably the sitting tatami kind of rooms. (Was so hungry until forget take picture >.<).I bought 3 Living social vouchers for the "salmon platter" deal, in which each voucher comes with a free flow of green tea, miso soup and a salmon platter. The original price was Rm 35 (a voucher), but with the deal is only Rm 10!~ The SALMON Platter. 1)First off, the deal didn't state what the salmon platter compose off besides they only use fresh salmon. But I have to say the sashimi was thick, fresh and delicious. You can see some fat marbling which further add on to the yummy experience!; unlike many other place where the salmon seems wash-off (After defrost taste; minimal salmon flavour) and not fresh.2)Next to the sashimi, is a salmon sushi top with some cod roe?mentaiko? sauce. This I have to say was the most delicious out of the whole platter. A balanced of creaminess and slight smokey flavour, it was such a delight, and I chowed this down fast!3)This was followed by a salmon maki and I believe roll with dried seaweed. Now the taste of this is grassy herby (dried seawood) and some might find it tad dry since some actually stuck on the throat. The taste of this I'm afraid might not be likable by some, and I for once finds it just so-so but still above average compared to many other franchised Japanese food chains.4)Miso Soup and Green tea. The green tea is standard and so is the miso soup.5) I have to add in that the salmon platter was an exact replica as the deal page picture. Super shock and Super satisfied!Link of dealpage (just for reference): http://www.livingsocial.com/deals/400582-salmon-platter-soup-drink?show_missed=trueWe didn't order anything else from the menu, but a quick glance of it shows an array of usual, authentic Japanese cuisine with some unique hardly seen and fusion dishes as well. The price can be excepted as somewhat affordable and in within range with other usual franchised Japanese food chains (Sushi Tei; Pasta zanmai). Example below of one page of the menu for your own reference. I bet the food comes out an exact replica! We do regret not trying out the other food in the menu, but this has become an instant favorite place to us. Despite just sampling a few, but the huge array of dishes, affordable price, fresh and super yummy unlike many Japanese restaurant chain has make us vow to come back here soon! The picture said enough and you JUST have to try it!* Be aware that there is operation hours for lunch and dinner* Be aware that weekdays lunch and dinner might be pack. *Make reservation* continue reading
