La Cucina @ Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar RM 25 for RM50 Cash Voucher for Food & Drinks from Living Social Website. I need to pay for RM 75 and i get RM 150 worth of vouchers in hand. Hubby said we need to get three vouchers, the menu is expensive and we better buy more rather than just two vouchers. Need to make early booking and they are still selling the vouchers in the website.La Cucina is the Italian cuisine restaurant at Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar . The restaurant is surrounds with warm orange deco and homey dining environment with sofa seat and pillows, bunches of colourful flowers, and warm decoration on the dining tables. The most attractive and impressive about this place is all about their first open concept kitchen. Unique cooking style at the centre of the restaurant, where the chef is there preparing the fresh ingredients and i can witness myself how they prepared the whole process and the staff managed it very well. Clean and pleasant looking kitchen.La Cucina is located at the Lobby Level, as when we entered the main entrance, we are greeted with welcome smile and i can easily spot this restaurant just beside the Lounge area. The whole place looks amazing, totally new place for us and i am happy to be treated just like a walk in customer even though we are using online vouchers. Good impression with warm welcome and even the manager come and introduce himself and chatting with us. He is very kind to offer us free warm water as well and provide special utensil and cups for my kids. As i browse through the menu, the drinking water is actually chargeable (quite pricey for sure). Dining in this 5 star hotel really makes us felt excited and moreover with the kids, it has been a challenging days for both me and hubby..i bring along my baby to enjoy the scrumptious meal and i think they enjoy it too..running around the lobby area with the wide space for movement and when we reached the place at 12noon, only one long tables occupied by 10 person after us. So we are the earliest diners over there and the food quality is really worth the value for what we are paying. Array of lovely Mediterranean desserts. So tempting and i really wanna have it allSalad bar, we can choose one salad for RM 24 while for two salad there will be only charging RM 34. Comfortable place to dine in and attentive service from the staff. Polite, warm and friendly. Romantic place to beI really love this whole concept of the lobby with bright colours sofa seats and very comfortable by just looking at it.Complimentary Italian bread which is one of their signature bread! Basic delicious Italian bread to start of our meal. There are bread stick , the breads taste and texture is really perfect!i can easily take pictures of their ingredients, the whole cooking process. very interesting and first experience for me tooRed Mullet Fillet (RM 51.00)I choose Red Mullet Fillet for my girl and this was served in a lightly seared and served in a saffron infused seafood bisque. Served with grilled assorted vegetables (asparagus, carrots, potatoes) , the fish fillet was pan fried with great and firm texture. Succulent fresh white flesh with sweet and mild flavor. Impressive lasagna "Fungi Misto" - Wood fire oven-baked wild mushroom with fresh mozarella and shave pecorino. I suggest to hubby we should try this rather than the usual pasta. Brilliant choice as the portion is really just nice for two of us and my girls love the cheese. Aromatic, cheesy and there’s an abundance of flavorful mushrooms, and light tomatoes sauces. Awesome!Chicken Caccatore RM 48. Layered roulade with Italian parsley, pomodori sauce and shaved pecorino. Caccatore means "hunter" in Italian. In cuisine is popularly made with braised chicken with tomatoes based sauce. The chicken drumstick is perfectly done with sauteing a mix of vegetables. This boneless chicken meat is succulent and savoury with the right balance flavour of the tomatoes sauce and herbs. Highly recommended. My girl can finished two pieces of the chicken meat. Here comes the desserts. We have tough time deciding which cakes or puddings. One desserts is for RM 18. And if selection for 2 desserts will be RM 28. So hubby said let's just go for two desserts since we are really craving for this.Chocolate cardamon creme brulee..when i see the chocolate cake..i am so crazy for this and of course my both girls is a chocolate lover too. We take away the chocolate cake for our tea break later on.We indulge our sweet tooth with this lovely tiramisu and both my girls is great lovers for desserts..they are aiming on this and quickly grab from my sight. Adorable and perfect portion for 2-3 people to enjoy it after the full main course. Simply irresistible! The manager is very kind to offer us to walk around the buffet restaurant offering varieties of local and western food. He gave my girl two marshmallow and i really appreciate that for that kind of 5 star service that really serves you right. And he told me that there will be new Chinese and Japanese Restaurant will be opening very soon. Thanks Mr. Zulhairi for your great hospitality. We enjoy the Italian food here and most important my kids enjoy it as much as i do. Truly Satisfied with this deal and i will surely coming back for another visit.La Cucina @ Pullman BangsarNo.1, Jalan Pantai Jaya, Cygal Plaza Tower 3 Basement, Kuala Lumpur, 59200 (Parking rate is RM 8 flat rate)Tel : 03-2298 1888Monday - Sunday 11.00am to 3.00pm (Last order: 2.30pm), 6.30pm to 10.30pm (Last order: 10.00pm); including public holidaysDeal Link : https://www.livingsocial.com/my/cities/1964-klang-valley-kuala-lumpur/deals/1114071-rm50-cash-voucher-for-food-drinksMenu Link : https://ls.app.box.com/lacucinapullmanklLS10Apr14Website : www.pullmankualalumpur.com continue reading

The Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar has opened; its main F&B attraction is Mediterranean restaurant La Cucina, a cushy venue with several interesting ideas emanating from its open kitchen.Meals here start on a confident note, with bread, olive oil & tapenade that would fit in well at many trattorias & tavernas. We have mixed feelings about some of the dishes though. These scallops are excellent but the risotto, while aromatic with both saffron & truffle oil, is unsettlingly mushy.Salads can be selected from a display counter (two for RM34++).Pumpkin gnocchi with beef short ribs, kale, boletus mushrooms & shaved pecorino in pomodoro sauce. Not terrible, though the gnocchi could be a bit less stodgy. The menu calls this taglioni, though it's really closer to ravioli, stuffed with smoked duck & topped with crumbled feta, spinach & pine nuts. This pizza, nicely crowned with house-made lamb sausage, avocado, rocket leaves, cherry tomatoes & buffalo mozzarella but let down by a not-crisp-enough base, illustrates the potential of this place; La Cucina's recipes sound sensational on paper but need a bit more finesse in execution.Desserts come from a chiller; cool-looking range, with no lack of figs, fruits & nuts.Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar also currently features all-day-dining establishment Link for buffet hunters as well as pastry-&-coffee shop Le Petit Cafe; more outlets may open next year. continue reading

a very refreshing setting, modern, funky and colourful.the bread rolls they served were very nice, particularly the ones with cheese on the crust. they came with olive oil and balsamic, and garlic butter of sorts.I ordered a duck olio spaghetti, which was very pleasant. if you are the type who does not like creamy stuffs, this dish is clear but tasty, with duck slices working their flavour into the spaghetti, blending with the olive oil and touch of herbal spices. I particularly like how the chef introduced some chili to the dish which brought somewhat of an Asian flavour to the Mediterranean dish. I finished the dish without any feeling of guilt whatsoever towards my BMI reading.my partner ordered the seafood pizza, which was thin crusted, simple looking yet surprisingly tasty. the portion was rather large for one person, but the scallop and prawns scattered over the thin crusted base, covered with just enough layer of tomato and cheese, made the dish and filling and satisfying one. they have an open kitchen concept and we could see the chefs in action, cooking up our dishes. chef (Aidy) and staffs were very friendly, (we noticed the hotel was recently opened).we finished the dinner with a portion of crème brulee, which was fortified with grated coconut, and which gave it a fuller texture and added more bite to it! a very smart move I may add.a very satisfying meal which came with several pleasant surprises. a very well done to the chef. will definitely come back for more! continue reading
