Kurtos Spiroll ! That is the snack i wanna try for long when everytime i passed by Publika and Pavillion. Curiousity always tempted me to go to see what are they selling but, my heart always backup as not sure what kind of food is that. I am not sure fate or what, coincidently i received 2 vouchers from Openrice and without further adieu , I rushed to Pavillion to visit Kurtos as soon as I can, with salivia dripping .They have a open kitchen so basically you can see from outside what they did to your kurtos cleaniness and hygienity is what I can observed.I ordered Vanilla Almond and Cheesy chicken Salami. It feels so good that you can see your Kurtos being made infront of you and the fragnance smells from the open kitchen makes u even excited to taste it.Once they are ready, they put the spiroll in the cute box like this! On the box itself, they do guide you on how to open up the box to eat too!I do not eat this on the spot and i took takeaway. The pictures might looks ugly because it is taken in different place. As you know, I always like to share the food with my love one, thats why dont wanna eat on the spot.Supringly the warmth and the softness of the spiroll still there after 20mins of driving. At the first bite, i can feel the texture of the bread is soft and interestingly good to chew with.Cheesy one still the best as I love cheese and i do enjoy having it when watching TV infront of me.  If compared to Auntie Anne, Kurtos bread is softer and more flavour to choose. Almond that coated on the Spirol itself is alot and you will get really satisfying after having this.If you are not too hungry and want to have a snack while shopping at Pavillion, you can always try this! and they do serve pizza too! continue reading

I was lucky to be invited by OpenRice to try out these interesting looking things. So with my friends, we ventured to Pavilion with excited bellies to try out these Spirolls. I've walked pass the stores before and almost every time there would be a queue just to try out the many flavours that were offered. I like the idea that you can watch as they make the interesting Spirolls. Plus they always makes the Spiroll to order which means they will put on the toppings when you order to maintain uptimum freshness. Also this way the bread with stay crisp on the outside but soft on the inside. The first flavour that we got was the Premium Chicken Floss and we all loved this one, especially me. They slather the spiroll with mayonnaise then packed on the chicken floss so you get a hefty amount of topping with each bite. I couldn't stop eating it then before you know it, we had nibbled it till it was all gone. My healthy friend ordered the Sunflower Seed topped Spiroll and he enjoyed this one plenty because they were not stingy with their toppings at all. I wasn't too fond of this because the sunflower seeds were pricking my gums and really did not help with my ulcer. And then there was the dessert Spirolls! Excitedly we got the Peanut Butter & Chocolate Chips topped Spiroll. It was AMAZING and for anyone with a sweet tooth, this will definitely be a favourite of yours. Finally, one of the most popular order is the Nutella & Walnut Spiroll and let's just say I got a mini heart attack at the sound of this. I have never really been a fan of the chocolate spread cause I think it's not that nice on toast, but I liked Walnut so thought why not try the most popular item on the menu.It was pretty darn good cause the spiroll was lathered in a thick layer of Nutella then the walnuts were packed on. So every bite is super chocolatey & satisfying. For drinks, we got two orders of Iced Peach tea and I was drinking it endlessly. I've always loved peach tea and Kurtos Spiroll's is amazing. It isn't too sweet like the bottled ones nor is it watery so this as super good. All in all, I think this is worth a try if you haven't before. Though I would suggest that you eat it immediately or else the Spiroll with get soggy then it wouldn't be nice anymore.Plus I kinda hope that they would come up with a better packaging because it's kind of difficult to take the Spiroll out without losing some of the toppings from how tight the box is. Other than that, it's good. Thank you OpenRice! continue reading

Kurtos Spiroll located at the Lot 1.12.01, Level 1 , Pavilion's snack street , Kürtőskalács is a popular pastry specific to Hungarian speaking regions , Earlier a festive treat, now it is part of everyday consumption .With such of variety choices makes me wanna have it all . 11 types of sweet Kürtös Kalács and 6 types of savoury Kürtös Kalács to choose from .Neighboring nations have their own names for the cake. Poles and Romanians use both the phonetic transcription of the word kürtőskalács and the translation of the adjective – noun cluster of magyar .Kürtőskalács is made from sweet, yeast dough (raised dough), of which a strip is spun and then wrapped around a truncated cone–shaped baking spit, and rolled in granulated sugar. It is baked above charcoal cinders while lubricated with melted butter, until its surface gets a golden-brown color .During the baking process the sugar stuck on kürtőskalács becomes caramel and forms shiny, crispy crust on the cake. The surface of cake can then be provided with additional any toppings .I get myself two Kurtos Spiroll Peanut Butter n choc Chips and Vanilla almond , A cup of Ice lemon Tea . Kurtos Spiroll Pavilion outlet was open at 2014 and other outlet is at IMAGO Shopping Mall , Sabah , Queensbay Mall and Gurney Paragon Mall , Penang . Get your Kurtos Spiroll at the nearest outlet near you , Great history of Kurtos Spiroll .
