One of my friends who stays in Kampung Baru came to visit me couple of weekends ago, and he came bearing some kuih tepung pelita. We were definitely delighted to have those for tea. He actually bought four styrofoam boxes, which contained a total of 20 pieces to share among the three of us. The kuih was slightly different than what I expected. The layer of santan was quite nice, very strong coconut milk with a tinge of salt. The bottom layer was filled with light green agar-agar like texture with bits of water chestnut. Definitely very enjoyable.
