Food - Wantan Mee w/Char Siew - Noodles good(had better), Char Siew amazingly melts in your mouth definitely the best.Ambience - Consider very clean compare to the char sat standard.Service - Excellently attentive but could be confusing without the bill and payment counters.Overall:  Will visit again, for other food and the char siew(*psst*don't go all too lean/skinny on the meat, there's a difference) continue reading

Nice chewy char siew. Easily recognised as fresh charcoal roast. The siew yoke is crispy and succulent..Good Job... continue reading

I did not know the existence of this restaurant until I saw the article about Top 10 Wanton Mee in Openrice. This shop is one of the Top 10. I'm not Wanton Mee lover however I will purposely make a trip to try if the shop is stone throws away. It was a saturday afternoon at 3.30pm, the shop was still filled with 90% customers around this hour. Hmhm... business is good anyway. This is a Wanton Mee specialty shop. Thus, no other noodle are available accept you can opt for Roasted pork for topping. As for side dish, Fried dumpling is available here. Whatever it is, I always like the classic Char Siew Wanton Mee. As usual, drinks are always come first. I opt for Barley Kosong (RM1.50). Thick with barley sunk at the bottom. Surprisingly, they will serve the wanton soup before the noodle. Usually will come together with the noodle. To avoid the soup being turn cold, then just taste the soup first, something light with tinch of white pepper. I like the Wanton, it was good because the taste is my own liking. Not too overcooked and it is just right for me.Here comes the Wanton Mee (RM5.50), I always first eat the Char Siew before the noodle. Hmhm....nothing special. It does not has the melt in your mouth effect. Perhaps they are not famous for the Char Siew though.Let's try the noodle. The noodle is not as springy as I thought. Taste wise is just too ordinary, the sauce does not taste sweet like what we call Char Siew sauce which is thick and sweet. My god, kind of dissapointed! Perhaps I have put too high expectation on it. To me, is just an ordinary plate of noodle available at most of the coffee shop NOT specialty shop.  continue reading
