As the name implies, most of the food served here is cooked using the steaming method which is considerably more healthy than any other conventional method of cooking. The dim sum served at steam room is quite delicious but a little pricy if compared to those coffee shops selling dim sum. The siew mai comes in four pieces per tray and the size of it is quite big too. continue reading

会光顾这家餐厅是被它的名字所吸引。蒸心蒸意,取其谐音,真有意思。由于个人特别钟爱蒸肉饼,于是点了个原盅冬菜肉餅蒸飯 。小时候外婆总是爱煮这道菜。因为味道很浓郁,吃一小口往往能扒几口饭,胃口大开。果然如此,这里的蒸肉饼和小时候吃的差不多。口感松软绵密,冬菜味道不咸,恰到好处。真是一道有诚意的蒸肉饼。 continue reading

Beef Hor Fun from Steam Room. Steam Room is famous for cooking dishes that are light and non oily, towards more healthy cooking methods. The beef hor fun although was not steamed, it was cooked in a way that really reduces oil. The hor fun was smooth and thin. The beef was stewed till delicate and tender. The beef was quite juicy. The soup for the hor fun was light and sweetness from the beef stew was really appetizing. Love that they put in lovely green choi sam. The radish was also sweet and tender, and so flavorful. continue reading

I saw this item listed on in separate sheet located on the table. Spare Pork Ribs in Glutinous rice, cost RM5.80 for one before tax. The size is 4inc length 2inc diameter. More like a Dim Sum item to me.Viola! I love it for its sticky texture of the glutinous rice and mouthwatering taste. While the Spare Pork Ribs was first marinated before inserted into the glutinous rice, wrapped with banana leaf to steam. The taste of the Spare Pork Ribs was soft in texture, sweet in taste, little bit of salty taste as well. When we opened the leaf, the steaming effect along with the banana leaf aroma came out which made it so appetizing. I really enjoyed every single bite of it! continue reading
