4 years ago, yes, my last visit was 4 years ago when Kungfu Bake Rice newly opened the first outlet here in KLCC Picnic food court. I remember I had tried the Chicken Baked Rice before, in terms of taste wise I failed to recall any. Since now is the fasting month, looking for table is not a challange anymore. Save time on this therefore I have luxury to order something that takes time to prepare. Walking through counter to counter, the food pictures displayed has caught my attention. It was Black Pepper Japanese Curry Chicken Rice RM13.90 from Kungfu Bake Rice. Is you, I want to eat this. I have proceed to order rice set with additional top up of RM1.50 for Green Tea sum up to RM16.30 including of 6% GST. After 10mins lead time, my meal is ready for collection. The rice set is consist of Chicken Drumstick, rice, half size of hard boiled egg and lettuce. First I want to comment about the gravy, it does not taste like Japanese curry at all. This is because the gravy is spicy, I guess it could be the Black Pepper. It really taste like Indian Curry either. Meanwhile, you will find couple of potato chunks in the gravy itself. To me, no matter is Japanese or Indian is still taste good. To my surprise, the rice they served is Fragrant rice which give you a chewy mouth feel texture. I love it. As for the egg, is just a piece of ordinary egg.If your are hungry, this rice set will give you a satisfying experience and definately you will ask for more. Thumb up!

Even though this stall is located at food court, but the serving and the quality is very generous and up to expectation. The rice is well cooked, served with a tint of mixed salad. The black pepper chicken meat is tender with peppery gravy that meet expectation. Not so spicy and the potato is soft and well mixed with the gravy, aromatic chicken and a great meal for black pepper lover.
