This came with chicken thigh meat coated with flour then deep fried, slathered with curry leave lemon sauce. The chicken meat is really tender, while the flour coating is just right resulting in a thin layer of crispy texture outside. The special thing about the lemon sauce here is the addition of curry leaves. It gave a nice spice aroma to it, which complements well with the lemon sauce, not too sour as well. Yam basket is another personal favourite of mine, as I love the smooth texture of yam basket provided it is well executed. I am glad that KK Wong did the dish well. The yam is steamed beforehand, mashed and mixed with some flour into a ring shape, then deep fried till golden brown. This is one of my favourite dishes to order in a Chinese tai chow restaurant. We can see the skill of the chef as well from this simple dish. It came with Japanese egg tofu, generous minced pork meat, an egg as well as chopped onions. The tofu is wonderfully smooth, with the fragrant egg taste inside.
