The outlet here is very crowded. Being a group of 10, we have to wait for 30 minutes and separated into 2 different booth seat tables with a wall between us. Triple Dipper (RM29.95++)A combo of 3 favourite appetizers - chicken crispers, wings over buffalo, and southwestern eggrolls with sauces for dipping. The eggroll does not taste like egg to me with its too thick skin. Feels that the wings are not spicy enough.Cajun Chicken Sandwich (RM21.95++)Spicy, Cajun style grilled chicken breast with Swiss cheese, Jalapenos, lettuce, tomato, pickle and ancho-chile ranch dressing, topped with crispy onion strings. The serving is quite huge. The chicken breast tastes a bit dry and tasteless to me.Grilled Chicken Salad (RM25.95++)Grilled chicken with cheese, tomatoes, black beans, corn relish and honey-lime vinaigrette. It is a huge serving and tastes quite refreshing.Kids Meal (RM7.95++)Gorilla Cheese SandwichChip goes ape over the grilled cheese and homestyle fries.Bottomless Beverages come with all kid's meal.KIDS EAT FREE with a main course. It is a simple and tasty sandwich.Bottomless soft drinks and fruit juice from RM6.95 to RM8.95.If you drinks alot, you will like the system here, as one gets to try all the drinks at a fixed price.Overall the servings of the food is huge. Quite difficult to get the attention of the staffs, especially when one is calling for staffs to refill the drinks. There is a lot of staffs around, but they all seem to be waiting for instructions on what to do next. Especially most seem to be following a senior one all over the place. continue reading

continue reading

I really don't get why Chili's is so popular here in Malaysia. The Midvalley branch is almost always full and one thing I will say is people are probably not there for the food (or they just have untrained palate for Western food). I have always told the other half going to Chili's is a bad idea but alas he does like his Nachos and I think Chili's does an ok version. He is definitely not picky about his nachos, as I can think of many other places that do better nachos. The amount of sour cream, salsa and guacamole (in fact I don't even remember if there was any) is just sad really. But nothing is worse than my grilled lamb chop. I know that ordering red meat in KL is generally not a good idea it's not a reputable place like say PRIME, but this was really pathetic. Firstly, I have asked for the lamb to be cooked to medium, but the middle was practically raw. There was already not much meat to start with. The garlic bread tasted stale and tired. The vegetables were also pretty sad looking. The only saving grace was the mash, while it's not as creamy as I liked, at least it was seasoned perfectly and it had a little bit of skin in it which is fine by me (more nutrients).I don't know about you but whenever I have a bad meal, it basically spoils my mood. So, the other half now know this place is banned for good. Hah. Oh, and that meal was over RM100 with 2 glasses of wine. Waste of money. continue reading

I'm usually not a big fan of fish but my friend told me that i should try this. SO i did, and it wasn't that bad. I love the garnish of garlic and ginger on the fish, it was nice when you mix it into the rice. It really brings out the flavour of the buttery rice. The fish was grilled and had that slight burnt aroma to it which I appreciated very much. continue reading
