After our dinner at Fa-Ying, I take away breads from Komugi for next day breakfast as my boyfriend loved their breads and he used to take away breads from their Pavilion Outlets. Komugi bakery is located next to Elianto, Paradigm Mall. They have take away and dine-in options for the customers. The cashier counter is located at the centre and both sides are nicely arranged with cakes and breads while behind the cashier counter is the place to dine-in. It was a nicely set-up bakery shop. I take away Butter Cheese, Raisin Special and Krone. I loved their breads and I can have them for breakfast for 3 days with a cup of tea. So healthy right.Krone must be stored in the fridge as it is best eaten cold for me. The custard is only filled in after you buy to avoid it from getting spoiled. It just melted in my mouth. Me and my sister really loved it. Krone @ RM 4.80Soft and fluffy bread with melted cheese and butter on top. Good option for breakfast. My friend came here to buy some bread. So  I took the opportunity to order the Matcha Cream Latte (RM 12.65 after tax) which the barrista recommended to me. I was aghast when I saw him taking the matcha out from a bottle in the fridge as it did not seem fresh. He said they normally premix the matcha. The matcha has the normal heart shape. The tea was too cold to be called tea. I like the ambience here than the drinks which disppoint me a little.  continue reading

One of the Komugi Bakery branch is located at Level CC, Paradigm Mall. It is just opened in Arpil 2013. It showcases the best of Japanese café culture and traditional French baking. Some of their signature pastry are Hanjuku Cheese Cakes, Hokkaido Cheese Tarts, Matcha Red Bean Swiss Roll, Apple Cream Cheese Danish ..etc. Once you enter the bakery shop, you can see plenty unique pastry that cannot find in normal bakery shop. I have bought Soft Tuna. It is basically a bread with tuna filling inside. The outer skin of the bread is topped with mayo sauce. The bread is so soft as it just come out from oven. One word to describe, yummy and cheap. continue reading

When walking pass the both at the paradigm mall, the Komugi makes sure one would stop and take a look at the pastries and bread given the strong aroma that waft deliciously within the proximate distance. Offering authentic variety of handmade Japanese breads, cakes and confectioneries their Japanese pastry chefs bake everything daily to ensure the customers getting to enjoy only the freshest delights, all made from premium ingredients flown fresh from Japan. According to the website, their signature creations are Japanese Bread, Hanjuku Cheese, Namachoco Sand, Creamy Custard Krone and Cookie Cream Puffs. With over 150 items to choose from, you can bring home a simple, all-natural, oven-fresh slice of Japan, baked daily for your pleasure. I couldn’t resist the macaroons so I got some and these classic French favourites accomodates Japanese twist from the chefs by making them softer, but just as flavourful. The selection includes Earl Grey, Butterscotch, Mint, Cappucino, Green Tea, Ceylon Apricot, Chocolate, Rose, Taro, Pumpkin, Coconut, Black Pepper, Tahini (White Sesame), Pistachio, Raspberry, Blueberry, Strawberry, Mango, Orange & Blackcurrant, and I do love the texture and I also think that it is really brilliant to accompany these with some tea or coffee. continue reading

Wifey was giggling over this funny sounding name. We decided to order it as it seemed quite delicious. It looks like any ordinary bun, baked with a cupcake holder at the bottom, and sprinkled with some icing sugar on top. The filling was the custard cream that tasted of cinnamon, while the bun itself was fluffy and soft. Priced at RM3.90, it was well worth the amount paid. continue reading
