Merdeka Day!! Time to think what to eat that can keep me full until dinner. My mind is thinking of Ipoh Road Yong Tau Foo of crispy foo chok and fish paste yong tau foo. I check out the previous website to find the contact number to ask if they open during public holiday and lucky the number search from the website are in use. The staff told me that they are open and have shifted to Cairnhill Hotel . I need to park at the open space behind this hotel building and go to the lobby and press level 6 to reach their restaurant.

Traffic was smooth and we reached early at 11.30 am. The signage is big and clear stated that we can park at the open space behind and it is free parking. But hubby said we just park inside the car park since it is covered and we are bringing three kids. The parking ticket is RM 3, and when we heading to the lift, there is a post stated parking is free. Just get it stamped at the yong tau foo restaurant and we are entitle for free parking.

The parking lot design is small, so you have to careful when turning at the corner side. The new look restaurant have a bigger space, bright and clean. More comfortable ambiance compare to the previous place. There is also a VIP Lift (I wonder what is the difference) and air conditioning room inside where the crowds is. We choose to sit outside but to risk of having some customers who are smoking. But as we dine in, no customer smoke nearby and in addition of lots of fan placed all over the place helps the air ventilation and we are not sweating at all.

The quality is still good with big portion of yong tau foo, Fresh fish paste and crispy foo chok + fried dumpling. The chili paste was spicy and delicious as dipping sauce. We also ordered vegetables seaweed popiah and rojak. The rojak stall is a new stall and i find it more tasty than the previous stall, But here they don't have the steam peanuts which I usually take away at least one pack with me.

Besides that, they also have the siu pau, and fresh baked breads. Choices of kaya, butter, chicken bun price at RM 2 each, Service is average, I can only see two people taking orders, clearing the plates, and attending to request, They should put more people there to assist customer at this peak hour especially lunch time. Price has increase to RM 1.30 per piece. Always seems to be increasing.
