I'm disappointed that they have changed so much. They no longer display the price for 10-pieces (or even indicate that the option is available), so we never know if it's more value for money to get 10, 15, or 20. Also, they serve it wish mash instead of fries, forcing me to buy a side of fries if I feel as such. A cheap meal becomes so expensive.Fortunately, the meatballs are still dense and meaty, and the sauce is still sweet and creamy. continue reading

The Ikea kitchen malay staff was very happy today and entertained us with words like "bo liao" and "还要什么".poached potato was finished the other night so they replaced it with mashed potato. we've also ordered ikea meatballs of 5 pieces for kids. Went great with their lingonberry sauce and french fries. continue reading

continue reading

This is the first time I actually had nasi lemak in Ikea! I wasn't aware of its existence until I noticed the nasi lemak having an ongoing promotion and is only priced at RM4.90! That is very worthy, if I might add. The nasi lemak came together with a half-sliced egg, spicy sambal, a pice of fried chicken wing, otak-otak and anchovies/peanuts. I really loved their rice btw. It was filled with so much warmth and the essence of the banana leaves were somehow still very evident here! Their sambal was not spicy at all - it was more on the sweet side, which is good enough for me. continue reading

Swedish meatballs are one of the famous food served in Ikea, Petaling Jaya branch. If not mistaken, there is only one Ikea in Malaysia so far. Every weekend, the restaurant & cafe will be flooded with people, but the queue for food will be very fast even it is long. I had ordered the kid portion of meatballs. It came in 5-6 meatballs and a lot of french fries. I like the gravy of the meatball and the sauce/jam. But if you are not someone that used to eat alot of meat, you may want to get a smaller portion of meatballs. continue reading
