Visited with 2 of my girl friends. Location is not really visible as it is in the outer Rainforest Zone of One Utama. But when you find it, you will realise it's a hidden gem. High ceiling with a huge, huge fan makes sure that the air is well circulated and the result is a airy and comfortable environment. A modern Izakaya design greeted us as we stepped in with an impressive interior design. The dining area was spacious and welcoming.Staff were polite and well trained though service couls still be better. We were there on a Thursday night and there was a live band. Adds even more points to the atmosphere. We were relieved the band played good, relaxing jazzy music. After all, this is a place to chill and hangout.We had the Special Ichiban Salad. I must say that for the price we paid it had generous amounts of raw tuna, salmon and tako in it. The raw ingredients were all fresh and generously sliced.Word of caution: the sald portion was BIG so it's great for sharing.We also had the Kirin Ichiban Frozen beer, heard that they are the first place to serve this? Well, it was good. Smooth & refreshing, the frozen top helped keep the beer cold for a longer time and that was simply great for us who sipped our beer. It was Ladies Night that day and the girls got the first beer for only RM5! Lucky girls.We also had noodles there. Namely Soba in soup with teriyaki chicken. It was ok, nothing much to shour about but certainly decent. Besides that we also had sushi rolls, abit on the pricey side but it the ingredients were premium so it was worth it. All in all, SUPERB place to chill, too bad we didn't try the snacks as we had dinner there. Kirin Ichiban Frozen Beer is a MUST TRY! Food there is good and reasonably priced.
