I'm the ultimate lover of Japanese cuisine especially sushi so I really love to explore different Japanese restaurants! I mean, no one can resist Japanese food right?Paid a visit with my bf to Hokkaido Sushi at One Utama few weeks ago and that was my first dining experience over there. The restaurant is super spacious; most of their decorations and furniture are made by wood to resemble the authentic feeling as if you are really dining at Japan.I opted for their small size chicken katsudon, even

Hokkaido Sushi is really a great choice since Sushi Zanmai is always long queue. Actually the menu and the pricing are the same. The taste of foods almost the same. So it is really not a bad choice though.But the waiter and waitress here is a not that sensitive towards customers need. They did not look up when they are walking, they just look at the floor =.= This actually make the situation hard for us to get them.

Hokaido Sushi is part of Sushi Zanmai Restaurant branch and is a Conveyor-belt Sushi Restaurant where the prepared sushi is put on the conveyor belt just located beside the table. They provide more than 100 assortments of sushi and 100 varieties of cooked food that are authentically Japanese. I have ordered oft Shell Crab Handroll and one red plate ( Sushi with Cheese on top). Hokaido Sushi is a Conveyor-belt Sushi Restaurant where the prepared sushi is put on the conveyor belt just located beside the table. Once you find the sushi you want, just take from the conveyor bely and enjoy the sushi, very convenience. But not every table is located beside the conveyor belt. Colour plate starts from RM1.80. I have ordered Inari Tuna Salad & Tamago Mentai ( Sushi with some sort of sauce on top the egg) and and one black plate ( Inari with some sort of sauce). Overall, I think

Do go there early to avoid long queue. I have ordered Tsukimi Ramen ( Ramen Soup with Egg). The ramen is very stringy and the soup is very tasty. It has some veggie and an egg in it. Overall, I think this ramen is delicious.

I have ordered Yakisoba ( Stir Fried Soba with Chicken). The dish is similiar like frred yee mee, but is way better and delicious.

Salmon Zanmai. We ordered the salmon zanmai sushi platter for sharing. This Salmon Zanmai consisted of salmon, salmon belly, broiled salmon, smoked salmon and salmon roll. I particular liked the salmon belly sushi because the meat was really juicy and it was soft too. The salmon roll was a normal one. The salmon sushi was good, smooth and sweet. The smoked salmon came in smoked flavour.

Vegetables Soup. My dining partner ordered the assorted sushi, on top of that, he felt like having soup too, so he ordered the vegetables soup. As the name indicated, this soup consisted of needle mushrooms, cabbages, seaweed, beancurd, Chinese black mushrooms and carrots. I took a sip of it and the soup tasted a bit weird to me, it was slightly salty and has some tanginess in it. My partner felt it was good.

Chuka lidako. Whenever I tried new Japanese restaurant, for sure I will order the chukka lidako. It came in a big plate and the size of the chukka lidako was slightly bigger than other Japanese restaurant. The chukka lidako was juicy and nicely seasoned. It was not too sweet and the sesame added further aroma to it. I like the springiness of the baby octopus. Good.

Tsukimi Soba. I felt like having hot soup and not heavy meat stuffs, so I ordered the tsukimi soba. It was a simple noodle -soba with egg. It came along with some seaweed and spring onions too. The broth was hot and it has just the right saltiness. I enjoyed drinking the broth. The soba was the wheat version and it has some taste by itself. The seaweed gave the soup an additional saltiness.

Green tea.We were in front of two Hokkaido franchise: Hokkaido Sushi and Hokkaido Ichiba, and we went into the former. The service was slightly lacked-luster as the staffs were not attentive. It took quite some time before our meal was served too. The green tea re-filling service was good though. The green tea was a normal one, nothing so special as the other competitors. It was slightly diluted.

Unagi Spicy Roll @ RM13.80Unagi Spicy Roll is one of the monthly special dish. The sushi is wrap with flying roe, seaweed, cucumber and unagi. Topped with big sliced of cucumber and crispy crab meat. The spicy taste is only at the bottom mayonnaise.The most flavourful is actually the tiny fried crab meat. The sushi here is a little small but perfect size to place in my mouth. I can taste the whole combination at once.

Pari Kani salad @ RM13.80The environment here is more cozy and quiet because the restaurant located inside rather in the middle of the open space where everyone, especially those in the queue will look into and see what you are eating at Sushi Zanmai.The salad is topped with generous of crab meat and flying fish roe. I always love to pick their house dressing as the taste is sourish to enhance my appetite. The crab meat is fresh and sweet. The lettuce here is very juicy and mouth watering mixin

Tsukimi Soba @ RM7.80I like to dine in at Hokkaido sushi as here is not so crowded compared to sushi zanmai. The waiters here are eager to serve you too. I tried the hot soup noodle once and i love it so much. This tsukimi soba comes with seaweed, japanese spring onion, shiitake mushroom and a poached egg. I usually will poke the egg to let the egg yolk flow out mixing with the soup. The soba itself is tasteless but eating together with the soup makes it perfect. The soup base taste so sweet lik

It is a Conveyor-belt Sushi Restaurant where the prepared sushi is put on the conveyor belt and the sushi is all fresh. i like the ramen noodle with egg. the soup is sweet enough and the smooth ramen is very delicious
