Restaurant Ho Chiak is located in Kota Damansara, somewhere near to Sunway Giza Mall and just behind Kayu Nasi Kandar restaurant. This is just like a normal Chinese kopitiam, where there are plenty of food stall in it, serving different kind of Chinese food. There are plenty of tables in the restaurant and the environment is comfortable. I have ordered Sarawak Dried Noodle from one of the stall. The noodles served with minced port on top. Their noodle is very stringy and it is tasty although there is no black soy sauce in the noodle. continue reading

Curry Chicken Mee with Char Siew and Roasted Pork @ RM6.50The combination with char siew and roasted pork in a big bowl of curry mee is unique. Although added roasted pork it still have its original tofu pok, bean sprout and sliced chicken in it. The curry soup is quite thick with lots of curry spices, and some coconut milk. I feel its quite spicy but surely addictive especially after squeezing the lime juice in it. The char siew looks dark and hard but surprisingly very tender after enter my mouth. The roasted pork especially crunchy at the skin and meat is flavourfully delicious. Although it's quite pricey to order this from a hawker stall but it's quite worthwhile with lots of extra char siew and roast pork. continue reading

I am from Sarawak and have always on the look out for Sarawak mee in the Klang Valley. I have tried many Hakka mee or some may claimed to be Sarawak mee in the KV area, Lucky garden, Pudu, Taman Megah, Kuchai Lama.. Asai Cafe, and many many more. I have to say this is my most favorite so far~ it's moist but not too oily, the noodle is nicely cooked, personally I prefer slightly softer noodles. The noodles itself has good flavor. (follows by Face to Face and Da-Puh mee in Pudu) continue reading
