By now, most would have noticed that there has been massive influxes of ramen outlets, each serving its own specialties and uniqueness. Tokyo Street at Pavillion KL, being the most prominent one-stop centre showcasing all sorts of Japanese products, including varieties of Ramen restaurants too. If you are seriously looking for a good bowl of authentic ramen in wholesome tonkotsu broth, Goku Raku Ramen is bound to live up to your expectation. This ramen oasis is conveniently located at Level 2, Mid Valley Megamall, with its orangey circular bold sign. It raises the bar when it comes to ramen-dining experience as the eminent ramen connoisseur, Mr. Teruhisa Shimizu, firstly introduces his unique "Horikiri Style" ramen with broth that boats a very exquisite taste over a long simmering hours. If you are looking for a good bowl of delish ramen, this is the place to go. Compared to the many ones available at Tokyo Street, this prooves to be a great competitor in terms of the flavorful broth and homemade ramen. Coupled with anothe recommended items, its Char Siew, is far more than juicy. Tenderness and melting Kakuni is one fare you should try it out.For more foodie rolls pics and info, feel free to drop by :https://www.facebook.com/joiedevivrelasshttp://lwinlee.blogspot.com/2014/03/goku-raku-ramen-mid-valley-megamall_23.html continue reading

If I have a ramen craving and I happen to be in Mid Valley, this is the place to go. The place is air conditioned and serves pretty decent ramen. Love the tasty soup broth, spring onions, bamboo shoots, fat pork slices and marinated soft-boiled egg. I usually ask for no tauge as I dislike tauge in my ramen. I recommend the tonkotsu ultimate ramen as it has pretty much everything I love, which are everything mentioned above with a slice of seaweed.  I've also tried the Tokyo Beauty set, but I do not fancy it as I prefer the pork soup served here instead of the chicken and the collagen ball that comes with this meal was pretty icky. continue reading

How to eat ramen and still feel hungry:1. Go to Goku Raku2. Make the mistake of ordering a small bowl (options: small, medium, and large)Yeap, it's very small. But delicious! The soup is salty and porky, and the noodles are soft and eggy. The pork isn't a whole lot, but it's tender, and has enough meat, though still quite fatty. There's an onsen egg in there too, which makes this ramen pretty decent value for just a bit over RM20. continue reading

This is not a Japanese style of dessert, but it looks good also. It is made of custard base with some lemon flavor, this dessert is come together with the ramen set. On top of it there sugar, sugar that being burnt off. The taste is sweet and bitter, the sugar have been over burnt a bit. The custard is very smooth and soft in taste, little sweet but taste not bad. The hot green tea that ordered is not hot enough when served, it does not give the good taste of the green tea suppose to have. The hot lemon tea taste is very strong, good. continue reading
