I’m coming back to Flam’s again for more food tasting session with my other half. If you are into seafood and pasta, I recommend you to try Flam’s Seafood Pasta. Priced at RM26.80 a plate, the pasta comes with a variety seafood ingredient: fresh mussels, octopus, clams, squids, scallops and a tiger prawn. You can choose to have either Olio style of the Tomato base style. Personally, I prefer the olio style more so that the seafood taste won’t be over-powered by the tomato flavor. Overall, this dishes is really finger licking good! continue reading

Yummy Italian fare, a cosy setting, solid service. Can't ask for much more. Sliced raw beef tenderloin carpaccio with avocado, asparagus and grated parmesan. Take some of the avocado & asparagus, roll it in inside the beef, then pop it all in for the perfect mouthful of instant gratification. Sorrentina-style potato gnocchi in tomato sauce with basil, oregano and fresh mozzarella. Recommended if you like soft, melt-in-the-mouth gnocchi. Not bad, but might have been better if the sauce was slightly sweeter and less sour. Deep-fried basil ice cream with strawberry tartar. The ice cream was kinda bland and the batter was reminiscent of soggy goreng pisang. Warm chocolate cake with coconut sherbet. The taste and texture of the cake were excellent, though the temperature could have been warmer (maybe we spent a bit too long taking photos of this?). The coconut sherbet was a cool change from the usual vanilla ice cream that accompanies this. Lychee Mojito and Cabernet Sauvignon San Medin (Chile). continue reading

We chose their Chocolate Fondant (RM 18.80) to keep us company while we waited the rain out. The fondant was nice, and the chocolate oozing out from the centre was heavenly, but I wasn't impressed with the tiny serving of ice-cream. (Wendy says the serving resembled an ice cream 'quenelle' which is a common elegant way of serving ice cream amongst dessert chefs. I'm not sure if that's what they actually intended!). I would have eaten peace though had I not discovered a hard chunk of ice in the middle of the ice-cream scoop, which was quite a peeve! After showing the manager, he apologized and waived the cost of dessert, so at least FLAM'S showed they have good customer service. =) continue reading

If you are a dessert and pizza lover, why not try their special FLAM'S as dessert where you may choose the pizza to be served with apple, banana or even mango with the creamy cheese with it. We had the Banana Flam's which makes it taste special and good. The portion is nice to be shared and it is not too sweet too.The portion is kinda good and nice to be tasted and share with friends. Not too heavy too.Price: RM 32.80 continue reading

Banana Pizza Dessert. RM32.80As for dessert, we had pizza, too! But another savory pizza! ;D You can choose your very own topping such as apple, banana, or mango. As for what I ordered, the banana pizza was top with generous amount of cream atop on the crispy thin pizza, then arrange with thinly sliced banana.... I'm enrapture. It was indeed another new dessert for me! It's just the same cooking method, banana with cream bake in hot oven, surprisingly everything blended so welly together.... It was hot and crispy, sweet and savory... how should I describe it other than that?.... hmmm Let's say, a sexually transmitted dessert. xDDD continue reading
