Went here last week after done my checking. Flat white was good, it taste good even without adding the sugar. And i was reading book while waiting for friend to pick me up. after awhile I ordered for their aglio olio. taste fine too. I wouldn't say it's superb but they did surprised me a little bit.Service are good, thanks for not chasing me out for sitting there 4 hours by ordering one flat white and one pasta. Quite a nice place to spend in this busy city. continue reading

Was roaming around Damansara Uptown for some dinner and found this spot to meet up with my friend. Dim lights made us hard to see the menu but it does gives a very romantic vibe. Although it was pretty pricey but I'd say its worth it. Every gorgeous meal on the plate gives a different fantastic delicate taste to our tastebuds. Definitely a place to dine in at night.  continue reading

Planned to have dinner at Restaurant Damansara Uptown Hokkien Mee but it was super crowded and we are already starving so we changed our plan to EPICURO. Epicuro is located at Damansara Utama (Same Row with Korean Bingsu Restaurant). The cafe serves Pasta, Snacks, Beverages, Desserts, Sandwiches, Fish & Chips, Salads, Appetizers, Sides and Soups. Couple of people only occupied the cafe when we arrived but started filling up quickly for dinner. The ambiance of the cafe was cool, freezing, and welcoming. They have both indoor and outdoor seating area. For me, it was good option to choose outdoor seating as it is windy and relaxing. I ordered Spaghetti Carbonara and Lemon & Ginger Tea Pot.Ginger & Lemon Tea was smooth and strong. One pot is enough to share among 2-3 peoples.Ginger & Lemon Tea @ RM 9Carbonara Spaghetti was cooked with cheese, bacon , perfectly cooked poached egg and a dash of parsley. Breaking the egg add a smooth and creamy texture to the spaghetti. It just melted in my mouth. Gorgeous!!Spaghetti Carbonara @ RM 22.90It was an awesome dinner. The food was delicious and the service was excellent except when I asked the server “What is the soup of the day?” Her reply was “still making” and it was 9pm. I was really shocked with her reply. Hahahaha J It was very easy to find car parking at night and good place to hang out with friends and family.REMINDER: Price in the menu is different from the price stated on their website so it not really up to date.Service Charge: NilGST: 6%Epicuro20G, Jalan SS21/35,Damansara Utama,47400 Petaling JayaTel: 03- 7733 3110Facebook: facebook.com/epicure.my continue reading

O.K. so my friends decided to have a gathering here instead of the usual cell group. Thank god I was a little free today to join them since it was like an eternity since I met them. By the time I reached there at about 8.50 pm, almost 9pm, everyone has finished their dinner. I took quite some time to order the food because my friends said that the spinach pasta which 2 of them ordered was too 'jelak' or I would say too creamy for the normal Malaysian. Since I am always inclined to order something green, alright I am that weird, I do not like white coloured food such as carbonara or anything towards the cheesy creamy side. My friends who ordered the Chicken Coleslaw said it was "Just Ok" and he even said it as though he was forced to. Pork Chop is out of the question as I dislike pork. So finally I almost ordered the spinach pasta if not for the waitress who recommended Chicken Cacciatore (RM 24.90) to me and it was so amazing and beats the one at Am Sande. This chicken was lightly grilled but till the skin was slightly crispy from the oven. The meat very tender. The best part is that it was presented right smack in the middle of a bed of spiral-shaped macaroni which came in 2 colours, the normal original color and also green! (Oh Yeah!) My friend even said mine smelled tasty too. There was a little of sauce which was slightly towards the bolognaise side. Everyone agreed my dish was the best. Oh, I just had to add that this dish is so healthy and would never put the guilt in you for having just had some fatty food! This place is quite small and could only accommodate about 10 tables and cannot seem to accommodate more than that.  continue reading

It feels so warm and comfy to be back again at Epicuro! After settling down comfortably, I instantly know what I wanna have, the latest addition to the shelves, Chunky Nutella! One would definitely bowled over by its decadent hint of Nutella with fluffily soft chocolate cake to complement it. Good that it is not too saccharine but done just the right way that allows you to enjoy the chocolate richness temperately. A nutty hazelnut is seen to top it off glamorously. As for the Chocolate Banana, remains another exemplary confectionary over here. I usually don’t quite fancy the fruit when paired with cakes, however, this is good, really! The banana slices is not too soft but still maintain its yellowish colour decently, sandwiched humbly in between the chocolate cake layers, which is then spiced up with some thin layer of chocolate ganache on its exterior. Café MochaAh, what a nice peacock design to further spruce up our placid noon! AffagatoComing up next is somewhat rather awe-inspiring to a coffee lover like me. The espresso shot that comes with a homemade caramel ice cream, has totally blown me off with its intense full bodied tang and robust flavor. You get that amplified woody sip as you roll around in our mouth. There is also some caramel-like aroma in the aftertaste that is further heightened up with its velvet creamy Caramel ice cream, that is freshly homemade. They really makes such a good marriage. To sum it up, it’s just a pure bliss! You gotta try it out for yourself.
