After dinner, us girls were hungry for something sweet to sink our teeth into while we enjoy a nice glass of wine. Well at least they all did while I was just looking for something to nibble on because I was still feeling peckish even after dinner. Since we were around there and it was a place we wnated to try out, we dropped by Rendez-vous. The place was relatively packed which is understandable considering that it was a holiday night. However the service was pretty good which I really commend

Vanilla Creme Brulee was the first choice we went for and everything we ordered was to share. Whether this is a substancial portion considering the price that we paid for it however is really up for debate - personally I did not think so. Especially since the taste was only so-so and there was no brulee on the top which this dessert is famous for. Disappointing to say the least.

Then because this is my favourite, I got the platter of two selected cheeses. I don't know why but I was somewhat disappointed when this arrived because it was merely two measly slices of cheese, one camembert and then some blue cheese. There was a few nuts and preserved fruit scattered about, hardly enough even for a person and served with some fruit chutney plus a small salad. It was fine but really nothing to shout about.

Then as a recommendation, we got this apple dessert with a scoop of ice cream and some crispy thing. Honestly this was the only thing of the night that we really liked and I think it had everything to do with the ice cream and the brittle.

Will we be back for the desserts however is less likely. Perhaps maybe we'd give this place another try for their savoury menu. Though I do like the ambience there and the fact that it's a french dining restaurant that isn't too cut-throat with prices.
