Dad felt like eating thick fatty loh mee so I brought him to Ulu Yam Lor Mee in Puchong which I have tasted before with my classmate, Stephanie Tan. I ordered the House Special, the Claypot Ulu Yam noodles (RM 12 for medium) cooked with yam and pork slices. I did not like this as I dislike yam but dad and my friend love this. The Fried Hokkien Mee for a person (RM 6.50) was quite tasty. Fortunately, the noodles were not as thick as what people normally use outside in KL and Selangor. There were prawns, cabbage, spring onions and pork cooked together. The sauce is thick and tasty.
The Kong Bao Styled Cooking of Fried Mantis was the best I have ever eaten. The best part is one does not need to peel the skin which is quite difficult. The price is only about less than RM 15.
We also ordered the Claypot Kangkung which was so fresh, green and crunchy. I truly love the kangkung and finished every morsel of it. It was my first time eating kangkung cooked in claypot.
Lastly, since I did not eat much noodles, I ordered the Guinness Fried Chicken Wings which were incredibly fragrant with the smell and taste of Guinness Stout.
The entire meal cost us RM 59 and not bad for a kopitiam which is clean and not as messy as the normal ones.
